22 oz. bottle, with Batch #435/36/37 printed on the label. The latest Abduction stout variant from the masters at Pipeworks. Expectations are amazing based on this knowledge. Good thing I'm here to pick up the slack for all these non-reviewers.
Poured into a Duvel tulip.
A - Pours a dark fudgey chocolate brown, nearly opaque in the glass with some brown hues showing around the edges. A finger and a half of mocha head that thins to a ring rather quickly. Scattered sticky spotty lacing on the glass. Definitely looks like a coffee beer, very nice.
S - Freshly brewed coffee / spent coffee grounds are very apparent on this one. Cacao, vanilla, cream, mild lactose, & mild alcohol fumes are also noticeable.
T - The taste follows the nose - delicious authentic roasted coffee beans / coffee ground bitterness, powdery chocolate / cacao, creamy vanilla / mild lactose, and some mild alcohol presence. Delicious.
M - The feel is creamy , sticky, and smooth with good roasty coffee bitterness clinging to the palate.
Overall, another delicious stout variant from Pipeworks. Not the greatest rendition of this beer, but very delicious nonetheless. Very coffee forward, almost Surly Coffee Bender status. Highly recommended.

A: Pitch black this a thick frothy head that lingers a bit.
S: Rich coffee and dark chocolate upfront then you get some of that vanilla aroma in the backend that is sweet. Really appealing aroma.
T: Really sweet upfront like a milk stout then get some dark chocolate and coffee roast and bitterness, like a mocha espresso. Finishes with some alcoholic bite but really nice tasting beer.
M: Solid carbonation with a thick sweet body. Maybe would be slightly better with less sweetness but it was nice and slick.
