L: amber with a light haze permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 2" lacy cream colored foam stand
S: added coffee is restrained with the aroma coming in at the same level as the hop and malt aromas
T: flavors start with fruit, citrus and light biscuit with bitterness emerging mid-palate and coffee coming forward as the flavors cruise to the finish
F: very creamy texture with a medium body and carbonation
O: I like the beer more for the texture and the hops and alcohol than for the coffee

Served in a tulip from the bottle.
Appearance: Hazy darker Amber color with an orange tinted off white head rising almost two fingers length off the body. Medium to heavy bubbles settles quick after a few sips.
Smell: Light toasted coffee which dissipates quickly.
Taste: Heavy coffee infusion which might confuse your palates. Coffee no milk and a lot of malt with a hint of grapefruit. Take it for what it is, it's nice to have something different which feels like iced coffee with a twist.
Mouth: Above average sticky brew with a citrus refreshing finish but feels a tad dry.
Overall: Good brew and definitely something different. If you like IPAs and coffee I don't see why you wouldn't give it a go. Drink with love and enjoy, always in glass. Salud!

22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 5/9/17, had 6/4/17.
Pours a cloudy amber, with about a one inch foamy head, some foamy lacing. Smells of light resin on the open, coffee, light malt, some yeast, some lemon, light lactose. A bit earthy. The taste is malt, coffee, light resiny hops, some citrus-lemon, from the Sorachi hops, and more of that on the finish. Yeasty and bready, a little earthy. Smooth, somewhat creamy, a good near medium body, well carbonated- close to too much.
The Sorachi hops and coffee compliment each other well. Very well balanced overall. I like coffee IPA’s, and this is a good one. Well worth a purchase.

22 oz bottle. Pours very hazy amber gold with a big pillowy off white head that retains well and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is an odd mix of roast coffee and fruity piney hops.
The flavor is sweet slightly fruity malt with roast chocolate and coffee with a dry bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, it's a bit of an odd mix of roast coffee and fruity hops but it kind of works.

A: The beer is somewhat hazy amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left wisps of bubbles not eh surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having light to moderate flavors of coffee beans along with some underlying caramel malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is definitely more coffee than IPA as you hardly get any hops or bitterness in the taste. It's rather deceptive for a 9% abv beer and hides its alcohol very well.

Rich amber orange in color, about 50% clarity, essentially right in the middle of opaque and clear. Two fingers of bright white foam with excellent retention. The aroma is primarily dark roast coffee, espresso like. Mild notes of herbal, dank, piney hops. Somewhat vegetal. The taste is more balanced. Still dark roast coffee, but also pine and earthiness from the hops. Notes of breadiness and caramel from the malt backbone. Medium body, moderate carbonation, and a balanced finish. Low bitterness. Based on previous reviews, this beer blew my expectations out of the water. Perhaps the 2017 batch was tweaked. An excellent coffee DIPA.
