Love milk stouts and been eyeing this in my fridge for past month.

Pours a deep chestnut/brown with a creamy mocha colored head holding good retention. Some chunks floating aimlessly.

The milk sugars show through nicely on the nose with chocolate and vanilla bean mingled in nicely. Black cherry fruit underlies everything and leaves an almost sour cherry aroma.

Very nice. Velvety smooth on the mouth yet only slightly thin. Bitter cocoa tannins in the middle and long into the finish. Milk sugars flow through nicely on the finish as well with a hint of coffee leaving thoughts of latte. Vanilla riddled throughout with more milk chocolate on the palate as well. Nice milk stout, can't wait to try some of the other versions.

22 oz bottle poured into snifter no bottled on date

A: very little head but looks slightly off white with just the ring it leaves. Body is pitch black in color.

S: lots of tootsie roll sweet chocolate. Light hints of coffee, a little bit of caramel.

T: lots of chcocolate, some anise, light bit of a roasted nut and coffee flavor with a little bit of burnt malts.

M: starts a little watery but shapes up midway through with a full feel with a little bit of chalkiness

O: Its pretty average. The coffee is almost non existent and the chocolate is just there with not much stout around it. This is a mess of a stout with an awkwardly bad muddled taste.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Big bold flavours, strong fresh coffee, lots of sweet cream, chocolate stout, all well integrated. Dark with enormous lasting head. Full mouthfeel, satisfying, and a meal in itself. Good drinkability. From Lakeview Liquors.

Extremely dark brown color. It has a flat appearance with no head to speak of.

Heavy scents of coffee and cocoa. I also pick up the occasional whiff of dank, which is odd for the style yet still enjoyable.

The coffee is huge in the flavor, too. The cocoa is muted. The bottle indicates vanilla, but it don't pick up much.

Good body to the mouthfeel but I was hoping for it to be a little more creamy and rich.

Another solid Pipeworks offering. It's not as good as coffee break abdication but still a recommended milk stout with a healthy dose of coffee.

Lots of coffee to start with a roasted bean flavor. Light vanilla, lactose-sweetness and marshmallow at mid palate. This ends with a strong bit of cacao nib. Hard to believe all this comes in a 7.5% package.

a: black, tan slightly frothy 1 1/2 finger head.

s: chocolate, roasted malts. slight coffee

t: sweet chocolate tinged with a slight vanilla. coffee taste comes in midway through the finish

m: smooth, creamy. Light carbonation. medium body

o: very nice offering from Pipeworks. This has a strong coffee accent but not overly so. Easily drinkable and tasty, Can't ask for much more than that.

Poured into a large mug, it does the reverse cascade for about two seconds, has a head of tan foam for about a minute more. Soon enough there's no foam at all as it audibly fizzles away. Glassy obsidian surface.

Pleasant coffee and vanilla aromas, hazelnut and mild and well integrated. It has a light brownie sweetness as well.

Coffee is noticeable, fairly mellow with very little bitterness initially. Some light dry bitterness does come through in the aftertaste along with lingering vanilla traces. Mellow roast, easygoing flavors.

Smooth feel and light bodied, though somehow this is thinner and less creamy than Jones Dog... huh. Still it's pretty tasty.

Bottle: Poured a deep pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with medium retention and some light lacing. Aroma of dry coffee notes with light roasted malt is pretty intense. Taste is dominated by dry coffee notes without being too astringent and some nice creamy black chocolate notes. Body is quite full with light creamy texture with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed and quite enjoyable though I would have enjoyed this one even more if the vanilla had been more predominant.
