Re-reviewing this one, given that my first offering was flat secondary to poor bottling. This is the freshest batch but interestingly made it out of the brewery without a batch number. Poured into a FFF Teku.
Looks more the part this time around! Opaque copper orange body with a large light-beige head with awesome retention and lacing.
Incredible citra aroma. Orange rind, lemon wedge, grapefruit pulp, pine needles, total citrus bomb. I expect this to be malty based on the ABV but the nose is all hops.
Bright juicy citrus hop flavor goes along with the notes, sweet citrus fruits and complemented by a generous malt backbone that balances surprisingly well. Bitterness on the back end is striking and lingering. Alcohol is noticeable but not unpleasant.
Really nice texture, crisp and easy to throw down, smooth, dry finish, medium bodied, fantastic for the DIPA style.
This lives up to the hype, especially for Citra lovers. So glad I got to try a good bottle this time. Seek this out, and do it aggressively, as it is awesome fresh and flies off the shelves when released.

A- Deep gold with orange hues. Looks dense and hazy from the bottle conditioning. Beautiful
S- Juicy Citra hops abound. Tangerine, orange, apricot, mango and a touch of honey
T- Bright flavors of the nose explode out of the gate before the bitterness sets in late. Not quite as dank as hoped it would be. Probably due to some age on this one.
M- Creamy, mid to full body. Soft on the tongue. Very little alcohol detected. Perfectly bottle conditioned DIPA
O- Really well done. Not a "wow" beer for me, but solid. Need to try again even fresher.
