Been looking for this for a while. It was simple serendipity that I found this. Hiding at the back of a top shelf in the notorious Cable Beverages in Rockland County, NY.

Poured a dark cola brown with sneaky red hues on the edges. Half a finger of khaki head. Swirling it around also creates this reddening effect in the foam. Weird. It's like a trick of the eye. Foam dissipates quickly with some mild lacing.

Smell is a lot of tart raspberry at first. Like a strong sour. Then followed up by dark chocolate. Some malt.

Taste is...interesting to say the least. The tart from the raspberry and the bitterness from the chocolate clash, no, battle for dominance on your pallet. Your taste buds become a war torn battleground and its a little off putting. But fortunately it rounds out the more you drink it. The raspberry calms down and gets sweeter and the dark chocolate becomes milder and more accommodating. It tastes like a chocolate jelly ring that you would find in a candy store. It's good but a tad linear. This would be good paired with something. By itself though it starts to lose its impact towards the end.

Fine bubbles and full body. Looked thinner on the pour but turned out to be a nice consistency.

Overall this is a well executed beer but it doesn't quite stand alone in my opinion. This would be great if consumed with a food that it could properly compliment.

22oz bottle poured into glass. No bottling date information found.
Black colored body, with a thin edge of dark brown back lit highlights. One finger tan, creamy head, sticks around but provides a bubbly reduction show as the thickness dissipates. Leaves behind a sheet of lacing on the glass.
Aroma has a combination of dark roasted malts and bright raspberry, with a touch of chocolate.
Taste is dark roasted malts and dark fruit raspberry, with a addition of chocolate and vanilla. Minimal bitterness.
Very creamy mouth feel, medium plus weight. As label describes, this has velvet qualities.
A delicious sipper, that delivers dark notes, plus the raspberry fruit and the chocolate.

Pours opaque, jet black in color with minimal head. Taste is chocolate syrup, raspberry, baker's chocolate, and vanilla on the finish. Heavy bodied, sweet, roasty, and low carbonation. Makes for a really good, raspberry forward stout. One of the better Abductions. Would get this again

22oz bottle (only date I can find is a ©2018) poured into a tulip glass shows a dense, opaque, beep dark brown with a ruddy tint at the edges. A light cocoa colored whisp of bubbles floats in islands and spotted lacing falls slowly back to the body.

Aroma is dominated by tart berry, chocolate and vanilla join with warmth. Underlying hints of brown sugar, roast malt, and something I don't want to call rubber band float underneath and add complexity.

Flavor is again raspberry tart dominant and is joined by dark chocolate, cocoa, an unidentified roastiness, molasses, and vanilla.

Mouthfeel is not quite tongue coating, but it does have the creaminess I expect. The finish is clean with no lingering aftertaste.

Overall a very nice fruited stout to finish a even an everyday meal.

Pours a coffee black, with a thin tan lacing on tap. No real head. Smell is roasted coffee with faint smell of raspberries. Taste is of coffee and chocolate with a soft raspberry aftertaste. Mouthfeel is lighter for a stout making it easy to drink. Overall, another good one from Pipeworks.

Fresh bomber from a new batch. Pours moderately thick and nearly black, with a thin layer of cocoa-powder head that quickly dissipates. Lightly sweet fruit notes on the nose, with more chocolate rising to the surface as it approaches room temperature. The raspberry truffle is really apparent on the initial swig, with a jammy presence on the tongue that is great if you're into that sort of thing. I dig it.

Served in a pint from the bottle.

Appearance: Super dark brown-black body. Head is dark tan rising just over a finger's length off the body with medium bubbles.

Smell: Sweet warm brown sugar.

Taste: Sweet complex and heavy dose of fruit. You taste molasses and vanilla with a definite note of raspberries or cherries.

Mouth: Syrupy and soft caramel....very sticky. Carbonation is just right and light coffee after feel.

Overall: Good brew. Might
