Pours a clear, dark golden/amber. Small head with some nice looking bubbles floating on the top after it fades. The smell is very nice. Mostly a grassy pine, but with subtle hints of citrus, as well. Smells so fresh. The taste follows the nose, with a slight bitterness at the end. Malt comes through nicely, too, with a bready sort of after taste along with the bitterness. Lemon is the dominating citrus flavor, and it becomes more forward as it warms. Medium mouthfeel and creamy. This is a pretty bitter ipa, more on the side of lemon bitter as opposed to grapefruit rind. Another solid offering from pipeworks, although it may not be my favorite "ninja."
