The master Nunzino from the Hop Head Farms school has allowed Centennial to grow into a formidable shadow warrior. This hop has tons of clean floral, pine, and citrus notes. As always, it's best consumed fresh.

22 ounce bottle, half each into a snifter and teku, batch #594.
Nice color, a little hazy. small head on pour, coats the glass a little throughout. Smells great- hoppy, fruity, lots of grapefruit, some orange and lemon. Great flavor, very hop forward. Grapefruit carries through, a lot of bitterness. Getting some pine. Fair amount of malt, but it does not seem to tamp the bitterness much. Not sweet. Good body, sticks to the tongue.
I like this beer a lot, I think it's underrated when compared to other PW DIPA's, although that's an impressive lineup. This one is worth your $$'s.

A - Copper, mostly transparent, but with some haze. Moderate head, quick fading, mild lacing.
S - Big pine, some lemon, a bit of grapefruit pith, honey and floral elements.
T - Like the nose, with pine and lemon citrus, a bit of pith, solid honey note. Close is a hard bitter hit, with a slow fade.
M - Brisk, but the bitterness is powerful, and results in some tingling and major drying. I had to take a break mid-drink to allow my palate some space to recover, but I still think, for the explosive qualities of hop, the feel is not atypical.
O - A very fine IIPA, but quite hard on the palate, making it a one-and-done drinker. There is almost no sign of the big ABV, and the honeyed malts do keep things from going too far, so this is one I'd have again, but be sure you want a big, bitter, hop-forward, no compromise IIPA when you pick this one up.
