A: Fully opaque black in color. Forms a moderate sized dark tan head that sticks around for a little while before reducing to a thin, but stable, ring around the edge and some patchy surface coating. Moderate lacing.
S: Aroma is pleasant. Mostly deep, dark chocolate and dark malts, with some lighter notes of bright, sweet orange.
T: Taste is very similar to the aroma. Loads of dark chocolate flavors. Mildly sweet. Chocolate and cocoa dominate. Then there are some mildly sweet dark malts. Somewhat roasty, but more sweet than roasted. On the finish, there is a hint of orange, but it quite subtle.
M: Full bodied, but the heavier carbonation ligthens this up a bit. Mild chalky mouthfeel. Mild bitterness.
O: A nice Imperial Stout. Not a whole lot of orange, but then again I prefer not having a lot of orange to having an annoying artificial orange taste. Never-the-less, a good beer.
