Earth, both rich and refreshing, the bright juices of your primordial civilizations quench even the coldest desires of deep space. Succumb and offer us the sweet orange flesh of your humanity and the chocolate longing of your young will. This batch is rich, and chocolatey with a delicate orange tang.

Well, I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers, but I think a birthday or two may be what she needs. A little heavy on the orange and thin on the body, but still quite delicious. I bought a couple of extra to cellar, with any luck this will gain about a 1/4 of a point in rating per year. There'a a lot of great breweries in Chicago, but these guys put out world class beers more consistently than any of the other guys (in my humble opinion).

Tastes like an orange ale. Still some stout flavor, though the orange masks it a bit. Good though if you like orange.

Attribute: Pours a fudge brown color with a bit of a bubble show that creates a modest head and dots of lace

Smell: Chocolate fudge, sugary caramel and a vague hint of orange (although I probably wouldn't have picked this up absent the label)

Taste: Sugary chocolate fudge, up front, with some vanilla and orange flavor (much more pronounced than in the aroma) developing; the finish is like a chocolate covered creamsicle, packed with a sugary finish

Mouthfeel: Full bodied, with moderate carbonation, though the sugar almost bothers my teeth

Overall: I wish I could have enjoyed this more than I did, but I am finding all of the PIpeworks stouts to be too sweet for my tastebuds

A-dark brown black color with a smallish tan head and little lacing

S-dark malt, orange, cocoa, coffee

T-dark roasted malt, chocolate, orange cream, coffee, slight char

F-medium to full body with light carbonation, smooth and creamy

O-decent stout variation, but not as enjoyable as some other flavored varieties
