Pours a medium brown with off-white head that lingers through the session. Aroma of maple syrup, burnt sugar, bananas, vanilla and toffee. All of these flavors are in the taste along with some bourbon notes. Slightly astringent on the first sip but smooths out to make for an enjoyable experience. A very good weizenbock, probably one of the best craft examples I've had and in a league with the Bavarian imports.

First had: on tap at Crop

Poured a caramel-amber color with a ringlet of off-white bubbles for a head. Aroma of bready malts, caramel, light fruity yeast notes. The taste was similar, bready malts, toasted caramel, light spice, nutmeg maybe, some sweet astringency in the finish. Body was light-medium, surprisingly on the watery side, with the astringent quality not helping things out. Not quite there for the style...needs work.
