ACBF pour

A-Pours black or pretty close to it. Head dies away but starts off tan.

S-A standard issue of roast and chocolate. Noticeable coffee. Smells more bitter than sweet. Maybe a dark fruity kick in there as well.

T-Coffee is the most prominent flavor. It's fairly bitter with some charred roastiness. Some cola flavors. Dark chocolate.

M-Fuller bodied with standard carbonation. Creamy texture. Hints of booze.

O-A well produced albeit fairly incognito Imperial Stout. (478 characters)

On tap into a tulip glass

Pours black with the slightest tan head.

The nose is all about coffee.

Roasted coffee and a touch of chocolate flavors with medium body (164 characters)

Had this at the Valley Brew Fest. Served in a sampler size glassware provided by the festival. Very dark, black appearance with a light brown head and some minimal lacing on the sides. Aromas were very rich in cocoa, coffee, dark fruits, roasted grains, and malts. Taste was bittersweet with its mixture of creamy, but roasted, mocha-coffee. Its medium body and alcohol content helped to make the drink creamy, almost dessert-like, and helped bring out the roasted flavors. Overall, this was a fantastic drink to try. (517 characters)

A- Midnight pitch black from the tap to a 6oz glass half pour. Nutty tan crown is foamy displaying good retention and a creamy texture. Ample sheets of lace coat the glass.

S- Massive dark cocoa powder and heavily toasted nuttiness off the top. Charred blackened grains, array of roast tones, espresso beans, a hint of spiced raisins and deep caramelized sugars.

T- Interplay starts with a heavily charred almost burnt barley flavor that opens up the stage for dark roast coffee which is earthy and a bit fruity. Medium sweetness with deep caramel notes, spiced dark fruits, a ton of deep dark chocolate with its bitterness and something like vanilla bean sweets.

MF- Oily slick body that is right up there approaching maximum thickness. Carbonation is fairly high but a creamy texture provides a good cushion allowing the richness to shine. Slight warming in the end.

For me its a great base Imperial Stout with a hint of coffee to compliment the very roasty malts that form the backdrop to the beer. Very well done without any true off flavors. (1,050 characters)

Better the second time around. The coffee flavors jump out at you, almost like drinking a real cup of coffee. If hyper coffee imperial stouts are your thing, then this beer will not disappoint you. (197 characters)
