In Vegas for work. Checked in and headed over to public house. Easy to find. Great bottle list and lots of quality drafts. Bartender was friendly and funny. Didn't try the food. Expect $10+ a brew which is expensive but in line with Vegas pricing. Recommended.

Cheers.

In the Venetian/Palazzo Restaurant Row.

Generally a very good selection; a great selection for the Strip. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. On two recent visits the bartenders offered several tasters while I reviewed the tap list.

Ordering from an iPad is fun at first, but the novelty wears off. It does provide more information than the wait staff might know.

The food is upscale, good, and pricey, but you pay a premium on the Strip. Beverages also have inflated prices.

Stopped in here for a few minutes to rest and catch up on some college football scores. The Public House is in the Venetian, or rather the mall between the Venetian and Palazzo. Great atmosphere. Lots of really high quality beer on tap and in bottles. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is very pricey, but not really out of line for the area.

The best place on the strip for craft beers. But be prepared for the prices as drafts are $8 to $12 each. They always have high end brews on draft and an incredible bottle selection. On my last trip they had Lagunitas Sucks on cask, and multiple beers from The Bruery and Squatters on tap.

Matt the bartender knows his beers and has plenty of stories to tell.

This bar is off the casino floor in The Venetian and is worth the trip.

This place is in a great location for those staying at Palazzo or Venetian, or attending a conference in the convention center. It was clearly built to feed the convention goers need for alcohol - be it beer, wine, or cocktails. Pleasantly there is a strong focus on quality draft beers here and during my several visits this place was crowded at noon, mid afternoon and evening. The bartender told me there has not been one slow day since opening earlier this year.

The decor is modern, with a bar in front and dining tables in the back. The taps are easily viewable, and there were two cask ale offerings also above the bar. There were 24 draft offerings and a large amount of bottles that were visable from the bar stool. There was a good mix of beer styles from Stone, Deschutes, Lagunitas, Lost Coast, Ballast Point, Firestone, Green Flash, Big Dogs, and Tenaya Creek to name a few. A nice beer menu makes it easy to make a selection as it was broken up by style.

The food we had were just some appetizers, but they were pretty good. I found service to be very attentive and despite the big crowds on some visits, they were constantly hustling to fill orders. The bartenders also knew the beers and didn't hesitate to give you an opinion either.

For those that complain about prices - this place is all about location and it is clear that it is focused on making as much money as possible from the conventioneers, not creating a cool low cost beer bar for the general public. I can't knock them for that especially since the bar stools and dining tables were gerenally full on my visits. But I would still come here for a pint or two if I wasn't here at a convention.

Located way the hell in the back of the Venetian, this place looks like your typical bar/club that plays (ooonce, ooomph) heavy bass electronic music. Metal, lighting, chic decor. You get the idea. Frankly, the atmosphere points are more because of the Venetian, beautiful casino and decor.

Nothing spectacular about the beers, the usual run of the mill stuff you'll see at Lee's, just at about 800% markup. Usual CA/CO/UT/OR brands here. Lost Coast, North Coast, Sierra Nevada, Uinta, Deschutes etc. . . stuff you pay $7 for 6 packs, $9 on tap. I don't understand the rationale of people saying don't complain about the price, you get what you pay for etc. . . I got the same beer, just at a markedly inflated price. I'm not a scenester, so paying more $ doesn't mean anything to me, other than more $ for the same product. Vegas as a rationale? Pffft. Come on man, I'm from Nevada, I remember when Vegas was cheap, not ridiculously expensive. Yes, there will be apologists for them, but hey, beer lovers care about beer, not the high rent to be on the strip. Service, was not really friendly. Selection was nice, but nothing I don't have at my house.

If you're stuck on the strip, and want better beer, I'd recommend getting a cab and going to Aces & Ales. Better vibe, cheaper drinks, better quality drinks, cooler people inside.

I visited this place twice on a recent trip to Vegas. Of the primary new gastropubs i've been to in Vegas (Burger Bar, Todd English Pub, Holsteens) this one had the best beer list and most knowledgable staff by far. Many beers I've never seen before from breweries like Uinta, Jolly Pumpkin and numerous others. They also had three casks and all the bartenders knew a lot about all the beers.

The food was good (i had the poutine, which was outstanding) but overall not as good as the places mentioned above.

This is a great place and (I believe) the best beer list in Las Vegas. I think it's a bit pricey but not compared to any similar place.

I would highly recommend it.

Many folks will be put off by the prices in this gastropub, but it's like complaining about the cost of airport food. The Public House is situated to take advantage of the conference travelers that are using the Venetian and Palazzo for large conferences. At those events, no one wants to stray far. I went here three times over a two day conference, and either sat at the bar or one of the bar tables up front. Positives to this are that you are ordering from the folks who are pulling the drafts, and if they are knowledgable you can get some good recommendations, as well as being sure that what you got was what you ordered. Biggest mistake I experienced was the replacement of Lagunitas Capuccino Stout with a Big Dogs Tyrone My Man (Black IPA) on a flight labelled "big & dark" because they were out of the Lagunitas. Needless to say, the IPA was not anticipated in the lineup, which also included Arrogant Bastard, Black Butte Porter, and 8 ball Stout. I pointed out the issue and it was rectified with an O'Hara's Stout, so that was cool. Bartenders are happy to provide sample if you are trying to decide between a couple of different beers. A colleague and I split a seafood tower, and the quality was outstanding. I enjoyed my experiences here, and will visit again next time I am in Vegas for a conference.

Update 4/25 - one last trip in before heading home, and I have to add that the Pub Burger is quite possibly the BEST burger I have EVER eaten in 50 years...

I checked this place out over the weekend with some friends that were in from out of town. I had been hearing about this place and thought this would be a great time to check it out. First impression was WOW not in a good way. This place is extremely expensive $$$$15 for a 12oz bottle of Old Rasputin $$$$18 for a Stone Smoked Porter. So that is where this place is headed with there prices. I started out with a Rogue Hazelnut Nectar one problem when i received it IT was an IPA. The waitress ordered the wrong beer no big deal, But then she did the same thing to my friend and when he told her she brought the wrong beer she rolled her eyes and acted as if it was are fault. I think if your going to serve good beer your staff should be trained and know what the difference is between a IPA and a Brown Ale. So we ate i ordered there burger it was ok for $18 i would think it would be great. the place is basically a glorified yard house, With out all the taps. They have a big bottle menu but you pay for it. We were there at night and the place next door was really loud with house music. So that didn't help the cause much either. All in all at the end of the night are tab was $260 for 4 people. Pretty steep for 9 beers and 4 entries. I would rather go the the yard house and save $160.

As other have mentioned, this place is fairly pricey. But it makes up for it in the sense that it is one of the few spots on the Vegas strip that has a decent beer list. The food is really good and you could tell the staff didn't know a whole lot about the beers. All of the beers I saw here were available at the whole foods down the street - if you want to take some home. Also in the venetian check out First restaurant, they have a decent beer list too. Also worth noting, a few of the casinos on the strip have a few craft beers available for free as long as you are gambling. I had a few free draft Widmer Nelson's and DFH 60 Minute IPA pints at Bellagio while I played poker.
