From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #69 (October 2012):

A beer with more subtle nuances will win a weathered beer drinkers more than a palate wrecker, Apis IV is the later and peels back a new layer with each sip. Still trying to really notice the 10.7% abv, we still took our time with so it could tell the whole story. The biggest part of the story is that it lives up to being a Quad. An amazing brew.

Very smooth for its 10.7 ABV. The honey is prevalent, there is a hint of sweet dark cherry like the dark cherries used in cherries jubilee.
