16 oz bottle. Pours golden amber with a small creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is biscuity malts, sugary melons and some piney resiny hops.
The flavor is lots of biscuity malts with a little fruit and a pretty big grassy bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery with low carbonation.
Overall, I didn't really care for it. Thin, with too much biscuit.

Appearance - love the shape of the bottle for sure. pours an opaques orangish yellow with a inch thick head
Smell - straw up front and it did not seem too bitter at first. as this warmed up I got much more hops in the smell
Taste - a ton of bittering hops for sure. bitter at first, broken up by the malts, and then a bitter finish.
Mouthfell - weirdly it was kind of dry to the finish
Overall - Love most beers by Elevation, but this one wasn't my favorite. Would be willing to drink again though.

Pint sized bottle served chilled into an imperial pint glass.
First Cast is a hazy pale amber color with an inch of white head. It settles slowly and leaves some lace.
Aroma is faintly hoppy but but not enough so for an IPA. Mostly malts with a hint of sweet citrus.
Flavor is again more malt forward than most IPAs with hops playing a secondary role.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated. Well balanced, more along the lines of an APA.
Overall a good ale but not an India pale ale.

OK I'm rating this as an India Pale Ale. Brewery web site calls this a "... a hop-forward west coast style American IPA."
If I tasted this blind folded I would have called it a Scottish Ale. Maybe I'm off, maybe not.
Not a bad brew! If you go into this thinking hop heaven forgetaboutit. If you don't mind a little malt on the front end you'll enjoy this beer from Elevation.

New 16oz/4pack bottles package for about $12 or so. I do like the labeling and all the info stated on it
Pours a light golden with hue of chestnut. More of a soapy head and spotty lacing.
Aroma is hop centric. Some spice and booze. Pine sol-ish smell to it, but not resiny. Hints of grapefruit and lemon zest. Green pine comes and goes
Flavor is slightly caramel malt, just barely peeking through. Mostly hops, and very clean at that. There's no resin or overpowering florals like you're licking a stamen (heh....how'd you like that reference?). I think that Pine sol thing sharpens it up, but it is very light. Lemon zest, some orange or mango. The bite has more power than the flavor, which makes this beer dry at the end...with a brush of sweetness just before it goes away.
A nice IPA that's not in yo face. Would go well with some spicy food as the flavors aren't too powerful, but will put up a fight
