12 oz. can poured into pilsener
L: hazy gold to yellow with white to off-white head about 1/2-inch tall at most and disappearing quickly; no stick or lace, but keeps a fluffy thick collar of almost beige foam
S: lots of spice, clove and coriander; i could be tricked into thinking "banana" ... definitely lemon peel; sour grain; sour grapes
T: lots of lemon peel, some nice grain and plenty of the spices; never sweetens but doesn't get overly bitter nor sour, even as it nods in those notes' directions; "tart" might best describe the lack of sweetness
F: perfect for summer -- well-carbonated, light, easy-drinking but at no point watery. a fantastic mouthfeel.
O: super easy to drink and not overboard on any of the major flavors ... the spice gets a bit earthy at times but it never becomes bitter, just a bit sour or unsweet. it's not a style I go to often, but some Texas brewers are making these seem quite appealing, and Buffalo Bayou here continues to impress me.

Pours a hazy golden color with a thick, foamy head that lingers for a while then dissipates to nothing. It smells like a typical Belgian white. Clove is most pronounced with some citrus. The taste is light with some orange flavor and clove. Some faint banana in the end. It has a creamy mouthfeel that is pleasant and medium carbonation. Overall, this beer has all the qualities of a witbier, its just in a lighter version.
