Surprisingly balanced and drinkable given its stats. While most American Double IPAs use West Coast citrus hops, we went with old world noble hops to give it a floral, grassy bouquet and then punish you with Warrior hops.

DO NOT ASK FOR WHOM THE COWBELL TOLLS. THE COWBELL TOLLS FOR THEE.

A: Side pour into a tulip. 1 Finger head that quickly receded. Bubble size from foam up to a cluster of large bubbles up to 1/4 of an inch. Very little lacing and what is there is oily. Hazy golden amber with a slight reddish tint. Light on the carbonation for a DIPA.
S: Not too much smell. What I am getting is hops and a little bit of breadiness. That's about all I get. I would have hoped for some fruity citrus but its not there. I am getting some malt in the background but it does not blend as well as would be desired.
T: No too much complexity here. Again hops hops and hops with some mild bread. Bitterness on the backend. The ABV is well hidden.
M: A little too creamy for a DIPA and not enough crispness. Bite from the hops.
O: Not a bad DIPA but not a great one either. Its drinkable and certainly enjoyable. (823 characters)

A great Imperial IPA from Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company in Houston, TX. One of my favorites. If you like IPA's, you will enjoy this one. Only available on draft at this time, so I fill up my growler when I can find it. I have a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!! (277 characters)

16 oz. can poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Hazy deep orange body. Big white head. Nice lacing in the glass.

Smell - Musty piney hop aroma. Some grapefruit. Caramel and toasty malt.

Taste - Grapefruit. Lots of caramel malt. Some bready malt too. Intense hop bitterness. Grassy bitter finish.

Mouthfeel - Incredibly bitter. Medium heavy.

Overall - Way out of balance. Aggressively bitter. (396 characters)

Malty, boozy, sweet sort of thing that makes you pine for some dryness and a more interesting -- hell, more present -- hop profile. Cool label though. (150 characters)
