On tap at Down House in Houston, TX
A: Pours a nearly dark black color. Some ruby around the edges. A tiny bubbly head tries to form, but fizzes out before any real definition can be made. No lace. Looks just dead and lifeless.
S: Pumpkin pie and spice. Some barrel aromas like vanilla and wood. That is it.
T: Again, the hole throw every spice you have into the pot flavor. Pumpkin, cinnamon, clove. Then wood, and vanilla sweetness.
M/D: A medium body. Light carbonation, and fairly thin. There is certainly some heat, and the spices are a bit over done. Overall, for what it is, not hard to sip on. Though nothing really want to come back to.
The ticker in me strikes again. Another ho hum, almost half hearted attempt by Buffalo Bayou. Not something I particularly enjoyed, though not entirely bad. Which again, is the MO for this brewery.
