On tap at the brewery.
A: 1/8" white head over cloudy straw liquid.
S: Lemon, yeast and pale malt. Quite a faint smell.
T: A biscuity malt predominates with some floral and grapefruit.
M: Medium viscosity and carbonation.
O: Quite drinkable, but my personal preference among Pale Ales these days is that it could use more head, citrus smell and flavour. I bet using this as a base and using a small amount of very light German crystal malt, a late hop addition of Citra and a dry hopping of Amarillo would send this one over the edge. Then again, that would be a completely different pale ale. Little Sister Pale Ale perhaps?

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a semi-cloudy (all this breweries beers are unfiltered) pale yellow color with less than 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and light lacing.
The aroma started out with a nice hit of grains, backed up by just enough tangy hops to provide some balance. The flavors were pretty similar, good earthy grains and crisp hops for balance.
The body was good, not heavy or light, just on the full side of medium. The beer was smooth and even across the tongue with a clean finish. Drinkability was pretty good, I could see easily killing a growler during a cookout or while camping. Overall, a nice solid example of an often underappreciated style here on BA, even though most craft beer drinkers quaff these by the gallon. Worth trying when you see it.
