Kitten Mittens Winter Ale is the perfect beer for the snow and frost covered months. It is a rich, extra medium bodied beer that smells of chocolate, dates, figs and light hop fruit. The right malt flavor finished with chocolate and roast, balanced hop bitterness and light hop notes. It is dark Mahogany in color with a think dark head on top. This beer will keep you wanting more during the chilly months to come!

It was "love at first sip". Kulshan Brewery really hit a home run with this one.
So flavorful and well balanced.
I love it when I take a small gamble on a beer I haven't seen before and it turns out so awesome.

Dark brown mostly opaque body, full tan head, blobs of lacing abound. Taste has piney hops with caramel malt, xmas spices, dried plum, dark grains, has bite but pleasant overall. Smell is a subdued version of the taste, grains carry more I guess. Feel is dry, warm, surprisingly crisp, malt backbone is light but the dry yeast stars. Paired well with a December cool afternoon, festive

Pours a very dark ruby colored brown, head was quick to settle to a ring of bubbles around the glass.
The smell at first was instantly coffee and wafer like chocolate, dark bread crusts; I also notice a general richness to it.
Taste similar to the nose, there is a really rich malt flavor; richness and tastes similar to molasses. Still pick up the coffee too; and hops.
Medium body; drinks a little lighter than I’d like though, rich and grainy/nutty bitterness on the finish as well as a slight warming note.
I enjoyed this one, different than some other winter warmers but it works well. The hoppiness makes this one unique, and it works well.

Wholly opaque, black. A light tan tall and buoyant head, long retained. Looks well carbonated. Coffee and fig on the nose with barely a touch of hop aroma. Very robust but unassuming. Chocolate appears on the palate, with more fig and date. Wood or nut notes, Straightforward, heavy, high carbonation. A booze warmth as well. Definitely a winter warmer.
Kitten Mittens really is one of my favorite brews. It is strong and bold in flavor of fig, coffee, and chocolate while being on the lower hop side. It is not a malt bomb and has a subtle amount of winter spice added (nutmeg, clove maybe?). I will return to it each season.

can into glass
Thin beige head. Very deep, clear auburn appearance. Slight sweet spiced caramel on the nose. A sharp tinged, subtle cider spice flavor which leads to a sharpness on the finish with a touch of allspice.
