This place is growing by leaps and bounds and it's only been around for a few months. A friendly place with nice outdoor seating and a food truck every night (or you can get something from one of several places in the area). Right now they only have 5 beers on tap but they have 5 fermentors going and just received a lot of new equipment so I expect that will be expanding greatly in the near future. All in all, a great spot to chill out for awhile with a $4 pint. They also will be doing a growler exchange program soon.

The Kulshan Brewery has a nice outdoor seating area. I normally grab beers and food for lunch and avoid the happy hour or evening crowds. It always seems pretty relaxed, and the crowd is usually older and mature when I'm around. The quality of this establishment and what they have to offer is as expected. Service is decent and I can usually find something good to drink, or I can go to their IPA. The food carts are standard, Bellingham has a limited number to offer.

I like the relaxed atmosphere and the nice outdoor seating area.

First time into Kulshan after seeing them at a few festivals in Washington and I wasn't disappointed. Place is rather new and had the expansive patio open on this warm May day. Did only see one waitress responsible for the outside but they had two bartenders inside which helped. Inside as I said was comfortable and spacious, also had quite a bit of old pictures of local brewing history. They coupled that with some rather impressive old cans I found rather insightful.

I had two beers while visiting, the Saison Du Kulshan that was rather good I felt and the Full 90 Session which had a nice orange linger to it. They did have a food truck available and it is easy to find though parking can be an issue.

Definitely put Kulshan on a tour of Bellingham if you are looking to go Northern Washington.

Great addition to Bellingham's growing stable of breweries. Where Kulshan excels is in the quality of their basic ales, their Pale Ale and IPA's being the best in town, giving us an alternative to the deteriorating quality of the ales served at our other long-established local ale brewer. Not quite as predictably good as they try to expand beyond the basic ales, but everything they turn out reflects care in brewing, and their winter warmers tend to be especially satisfying.

Very pleasant atmosphere and layout, making it a compelling place to stop for a pint or two, whether on a sunny summer afternoon, or dreary winter day.

And they've really hit on something by being the first local brewery to leave the food to an excellent rotation of food trucks, while they concentrate on the beer.

The beer at Kulshan is a fresh divergence from the over-the-top, in-your-face hoppy North West ales. The beer is good. A much more mellow version of what is served in the territory.
There is no food, but some great food trucks are parked out front.
Dog friendly.

Great beer, I just wish they had a real brewpub. Instead they have rotating food trucks outside, and I'm not a fan of having to leave my beer and walk outside into the chilling Bellingham air to get some okay food. It also doesn't provide much of a choice, the food they have that day is what they have.

That being said, its the best beer in Bellingham in my opinion, so I tend to pick up growler from Kulshan about once a week and go to Boundary Bay if I actually want to hang out at a good brewpub.
