Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a dark reddish brown with a half finger tan head with good retention and slippery lacing. Aroma of dark and roasted malt with a vegetable component. Flavor is dry toasted malt, similar to a foreign / export stout, hints of bitter chocolate, somewhat one dimensional. Finish is a bit astringent with some light, nice chocolate and toasted malt, but also rather dry and flat. Medium bodied. This starts off satisfactorally, but the finish is not that great.

Poured a rich brown with a finger of light tan head. Roasty aroma of cocoa with hints of coffee.
Moderate carbonation and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Cocoa and espresso up front without much in the way of malty sweetness. Finishes quite dry with just a touch of bitterness.
The roastiness definitely dominates this porter. A little one-dimensional but pleasant and easy-drinking.
