Dark ruby body with a slightly cloudy appearance (I got the yeast-end of the bottle). Snow-white head given a pink hue by the liquid below.
Smells lovely and not overly sweet, however it's an aroma that seems more cherry-like than actual cherry. Still, very alluring.
A touch sweet yet nowhere in the realm of the more popular (but, IMO, far inferior) Lindeman's. More than enough tartness to pull it back into drinkable territory with an actual (gasp!) malt body lurking underneath.
A touch slick on the finish but refreshingly crisp and not so thin as to drink like soda. There are those who find it fashionable to bash fruit beers. While I would likely not want more than one of these in a sitting, I certainly enjoyed the hell out of this one. I'll bet money that this would make a killer pairing with a bittersweet flourless chocolate cake.

Deep red. Moderate head.
Smell of cough syrup, cherries, malts.
Taste is plain strange. Loads of syrup, cherry menthol, sweet, with a slight sour note. Still quite cloying.
Almost heavy bodied - like an English Strong Ale, BUT with light-ish carbonation.
A real mis-match, disjointed, and not for sour fans at all :-(

Serving Type: 750 mL Cork and Cage bottle
A- Pours a hazy Red-Brown (no wonder) that gets much lighter around the edges. Topped by a quickly dissipating 1 finger white head. Patchy lacing.
S- Maraschino cherries, slight hit of balsamic vinegar on the finish.
T- sour red cherries, red liquorice (twizzlers). Again, slight hit of balsamic vinegar on the finish.
M- Silky medium body and vibrant, but moderate carbonation.
O- As my first Kriek and Lambic, I must say that I was impressed. Sweet yet with a sour quality. Definitely not something that could be drunk in any excessive quantity but a great sipper for sure.
