On-tap at a cafe in Rochefort, served in a Liefmans tumbler.
A: Clear, deep ruby body under a fine, creamy pink head. Tons of lace. Great.
S: Pure gummy worms. Tons of artificial sweetness. Kook-Aid. Yuck.
T: Kook-aid, gummy worm, and finally a touch of actual cherry. So, so, sickeningly sweet - but drinkable as a dessert beverage.
M: Frothy, prickly, sticky. Expected.
O: Not enjoyable, but worlds better than the truly disgusting Belle-Vue Kriek. Even thought this beer isn't thoroughly nasty, though, I still have to give it the lowest possible score for Overall simply because I hate what this type of dumbed-down "Kriek" is doing to the public perception of Lambics.
Cheers!

red with a frothy pink cap...laces well.
Aromas of cherry and a sweet musty-almond smell.
Sweet, fruity with some very light horse blanket mustiness...slightly tart in the finish.
Didnt mind this at all but not something Id consume much of...too sweet and the lambic character is too thin for my tastes.

Bottle: Poured a bright pink color liquid with a huge bubbly head with very little retention. Aroma is totally dominated by the cherry syrup and nothing else can be distinguished. Taste is also dominated by the cherry syrup that I didnt particularly enjoyed since it was way too sweet for my liking. I wasnt expecting something earth shattering but I wasnt expecting something similar tot his.

First time I saw this beer was 3 days ago and took it right away because these belgium geuze and lambic can be something. This once is not like most of the rest, no real one. It has more cherries in it then you can imagne and with the lightness of the beer just make you think you have cherryjuice. But great cherrysmell though not certain if there isn't any arome used. Pours out an pink head and has a beautifull deep red colour. Drinks very smooth, litle sour, sweet cherry and end a litle sour. Good beer that's light in alcohol so you could enjoy lot of them in a row on a warm summernight, if the sweetness doesn't get you. Something else then the classic labic's or new fruitbeers.
