Cracked a bottle of this during the Fourth of July pool party. Really does the trick on a hot summer day.
Pours out a reddish light brown color, similar to a flanders/oud bruin blended beer. Small thin beigeish head on it. Aroma was all cherry. Just loads of cherry all over it. A little bit of brown sugar. Mild oaky notes.
Taste, not overly sweet, I sat on this one for over 2 years, and it was much more attenuated to my palate than it was when it was sweeter. A tiny bit more tart and sourness than I was expecting at this stage, man, I'm really impressed with what age has done to this fruit beer. Ah conventional wisdom, I turn thee upon thy head. A sturdy body with darker brown kind of malts, caramel is barely there.
This isn't a beer that is going to impress anyone looking for a lambic or kriek. But if you want the cherry flavor, with the rare culmination of both mild sour and balanced fruit without overwhelming sugaryness, this is the beer for you.

Visual: Color consists of a cloudy red color. Almost looks like a creamy red. Clarity is foggy, you cannot see through the beer. Head is a light pink in color and sticks around for a long time.
Aroma:Incredibly strong aroma of fruits with cherries dominating the smell. Other smells consist of citrus, with sour and sweet notes.
Taste:The first taste is sour and a bit dry, the citrus presents itself and then fades in the sour/sweet taste with a hint of oak. This beer is like a sour patch kid, first it is sour and then it is sweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium body but not too thick with still plenty of flavor
Overall: I fell in love with this beer at a local pub called Pale Nine Ale House in San Diego. This was the beer that developed my love for sour beers. I find this beer to be a refreshing change from most other beers. It is the perfect combination of sour tastes and fruity tastes for me.
