From 11/09/13 notes. On tap at the brewpub in Ardmore, PA.
a - Pours a dark nut brown color with light tan head and low carbonation evident.
s - Smells of smoke, roasted malts, nuts, light chocolate, earthy malts, toasted malts, and wood. Little smoke going on in the nose.
t - Tastes of roasted malts, nuts, toasted malts, bready malts, grains, wheat, light smoke, and light chocolate. Nice taste, quite nutty and roasty.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Smooth and creamy, very easy to drink.
o - Overall a pretty good brown ale. Was surprised to find it a bit woody and smokey, but the taste was very good with a lot of nuts and roasted notes. Easy to drink, worth checking out.
