Got this growler from PhishPhorce in a great trade, thanks Larry. Poured into a DFH IPA glass at around 35F. Growler filled about 72 hrs prior.

Appearance: Pours fairly low carb with a light golden body, clear, an off-white head of one finger depth is present with good retention.

Aroma: You could smell this just pouring out of the growler. The citrus and tropical fruit flavors are just outstanding. Gushing with pineapple, guava, orange, mango, some pine, very fruit and tropical.

Taste: This is akin to hop juice, with so much tropical fruit flavor it almost tastes more like a fruit drink than a beer. A lot of sweetness, both from the hop profile and the malt base. Surprisingly low bitterness. Very little alcohol.

Mouth: Feel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Smooth body. Sticky without a very dry finish.

Overall, this was delectable and a prime showcase of tropical hops on steroids. Just wish there was more bitterness to balance it out. I would certainly drink it again but I think it can be improved upon.

"Double IPA brewed with spelt. Hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Columbus, Centennial, and Amarillo. Fermented atop grapefruit, lemon, blood orange, and lime. 8.5% abv."

Picked up a 32oz growler of this while in PA. Glad I did!
poured into my crooked stave tulip. Pours a golden orange with a finger of white head. Not much to look at, but that's ok. Crazy lacing.
Aromas of sweet candy hops, and lots of juicy fruit notes. Taste is juicy grapefruit and stonefruit with a huuge hop flavor, and nice wheat like malt backbone. Slightly bitter but more sweet and just flat out juiciness...perfectly dry and perfect bitter balance.
This has to be one of the best DIPAs ive ever had. Shame they will likely never make it again.

First had: growler from the source

This was essentially an imperialized version of the illustrious St.Oner, which I think was easily one of TH's top 3 beers. This one, to me, fell a bit short of that for some reason.

Clearish amber body with a slight chill haze, topped with a quarter inch of white sea foam that retained throughout the session and laced the glass. I was a little confused with the aroma, as it wasn't as fresh as crisp as I expected--my thoughts once again returning to its non-imperial counterpart. Still, lots of citrus, tropical fruits; more of a sweet pulpiness than a blasting hop explosion, with the amped-up malt profile "dulling" it a little bit perhaps. Whereas St.Oner knocked me away as amazing and unique on my first sip, Cosmic Slop came off more average in IPA land. Not at all saying it was bad, just good middle-of-the-road. There was much more malty sweetness in the taste, with the citrus coming out more sugary and blossomy than zesty and crisp. Notes of mango pulp and essence of pine needles, and a slight kick of fusel alcohol in the finish that was well within tolerance. Body was about medium, somewhat sticky and chewy, with moderately low carbonation.

To complain about this beer is stupid, and I'm not trying to do that. It was a great beer, and a lot of labor went into it as you would expect from TH. With all the higher ratings around me, I wonder if I somehow got a bad pour?

3 day old growler poured into a wine glass.

Pours a gorgeous cloudy, golden-orange. Not the head I was looking for, so a few points off for that, but it's from a 3 day old growler so I will give it the benefit of the doubt.

Aroma is off the fucking charts. Absolutely perfect me. The hops hit you first, then the citrus dials in and boy is it potent. All the juice they used is evident, making it a truly 'juicy' IPA. No alcohol either.

Flavor is great as well. Not too sweet, no malt and subdued bitterness. It really does taste like a slightly bitter fruit juice. Again, no alcohol.

Gotta take off a little for the undercarbed mouthfeel, but it is still insanely drinkable with a semi-creamy mouthfeel.

My first foray into TH growlers and what a way to begin the addiction for their beers.
