First had: on tap at TH. Growler review.

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, was this one good. Murky mahogany pour, with a small but dense cap of creamy off-white head that retained as a ringlet and laced the glass nicely. Aroma of fresh Simcoe, and no question about it...if I had been blindfolded I probably would have guessed this was an IPA or at least an APA; lesser notes of sweet bready malts. Very nice Simcoe hop profile up front in the taste, followed by flavors of sweet malts and even sweeter honey, finishing with a robust bready malt profile...not sure if there's rye in this, but it sure seems like it to me, or failing that, a bunch of hearty wheat. Body was on the fuller side of medium, mouthfeel was smooth and crisp, successfully merging the worlds of the IPA and the brown ale. Great overall, and a great surprise...actually one of my favorites from TH. And for someone like me who doesn't care for brown ales that much, that's saying a lot.
