Pizza Inspired Gose. 5.5% This Sour ale was brewed in collaboration with the weirdos from Pizza Brain. Brewed with Meyer lemons, sweet basil, Pizza Brain’s five-pepper blend, and sea salt that was smoked in-house over maple wood and pollenta corn cobs from Tom Culton. This is a food beer.
-Notes of bright citrus, floral basil, earthy spice, tingly heat, and collaboration.

On tap at TH.
Hazy copper pour, with a small fizzy head that petered out within seconds; no lacing; lively carbonation bubbled from the bottom of the glass. Appeared like many if not all of TH's typical Berliners. Lots of earthy spice in the aroma, sour grains, dried lemon zest. Very tart on the tongue, pretty much wiped my taste buds out on first contact, dried lemon peel, toasted sourdough, funk, spicy with basil and pepper, salty pickles. There was definitely a lot going on here. Medium body, very prickly mouthfeel, with an assertive tartness. Overall, this was pretty good, pretty complex. I wasn't too crazy about it personally, but it was definitely worth a try.

Big thanks to rudzud for sharing this interesting beer.
Very small fizzy head disappears almost instantly, hazy murky pale slight straw canned pear.
Nose is sure weird, straw like malt and mashed dough, fermented dough, little sourness, hint of a peppery note, faint hint of smoked something and just a touch of a corn cob thing, plenty of wheat, hint of coriander like spices, hint of a light fruity lemon.
Taste first a quick flash of salt, then quickly into a sour note, sour wheat and lots of creamy slight toasty wheat, quirky into mild tingly hot pepper note. It has a nice interesting tart fruity lemon not a super sour lemon though, and into mild spices but can't really pick out any specific spices. It also brings a very light touch of a smoke note and corn flavor but that's mostly back end and very hard to pick out. Bit of acidity too. It gets mildly flemmy on the finish, mild salt flavor again and pepper heat, hint of smoke and spices, touch of sweet basil, and long tart lemon. Starts to get a big sweet corn polenta like corn flavor eventually the more it warms.
Mouth is med bod, lighter carb could have used a bit more, mild pepper heat, mild creaminess and smooth.
Overall very interesting but I wouldn't call it delicious. Enjoyable and tasty, very unique.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a hazy darker straw with a thin had that fades almost immediately to well, nothing.
S - Aromas of Meyer lemons, light salt, very light smoke, trace corn amounts. Not getting any basil or "5 pepper blend". What I do get is a very refreshing and unique aroma.
T - Taste is pretty fun. Nice wheat, bright lemons, nice and tart, good light corn, faint salt and snow, definitely getting sweet basil on the finish that is lightly floral. There is some trace pepper going on too. Really fun and unique.
M - Mouthfeel is nice and refreshing, would like a bit more carbonation. Super drinkable.
O - Overall this beer was a surprise. Really tasty and different and complex. Could drink this all day in the summer.
