Big thanks to Mike for this one. 16oz waxed and capped bottle into Hill Farmstead stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Pours a thick, white ring for a head that just sits atop the brew. Beer is a clear dark copper. Lacing is thick and layered with excellent stick. Real nice.

Nose is grape sweetness, oak and Brett funk. A mellow tartness serves as a nice background.

Opens grape sweetness. Lemon tartness in the middle with notes of oak, Brett, band-aid and some hay. Very well balanced with flavors that are nicely integrated. Ends tart grape seed and skin. Aftertaste is vinous with a mellow woodiness. Excellent.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and foamy in the mouth and goes down aggressive and bubbly. Finishes puckering and filmy with a sticky, lingering aftertaste. Very good.

This beer is very well balanced and certainly one of the more mellow of the Emptiness series. Flavors are finely integrated here and even though its a pretty simple flavor profile, its done very well. A real good beer.

500 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Orange body with a darker tinge. Grapefruit juice colored. Hazy. Small white head. Medium collar.

Smell - Ah, nice. Grapefruit. White wine barrel. Oak. Grainy malt. Some grape fruitiness in the back end.

Taste - Pleasantly tart. Less intense on the citrus up front. Grape flavor up front, but only distinguishes itself from the wine barrel with a bit of sweetness. Wine flavor. Oaky. Grapefruit citrus comes back in the end.

Mouthfeel - Nice sourness. Medium light. Well carbonated.

Overall - This is the best beer of the night so far. Great combination of barrel, citrus, and grapes.

Bottle from TH.

Poured into a TH 10oz. stem, looks like honey in a glass, slightly cloudy, topped with a beautiful cap of cottony snow white head, fed by some very active carbonation, bubbling from the bottom of the glass; the head retains well, lacing the glass brilliantly. Crisp, clean aroma, white grapes, happily tart, nice funky brett notes, and some light sugary sweetness. Fresh grapes in the taste, perfectly tart, not at all overbearing, some marmalade sweetness, funky yeast, distant bready malts. Easily a perfect 5.0 rating for mouthfeel. It's so perfectly balanced, that I just can't imagine anything better. Light-medium body, crisp mouthfeel, perky carbonation, thin vinous film left in the mouth, probably mostly from my active salival glands. Overall, this has got to be one of the best things TH has bottled to date, if not the best.
