8 oz. pour on tap at the brewery poured into their flute-like glass, unknown brewing/release date, drank over 30 minutes

A: 2/3 - deep amber-red coloration; moderate clarity (but cannot read through) in comparison to some of the other hoppy TH beers; soft medium-sized white bubbles with a head that settles into a 1/2 finger lacing that persists throughout the drinking

S: 9/12 - moderate citrus and pine notes with a bigger speciality malt background than the other hoppy offerings - some caramel, toffee, biscuit, doughy bread aromas; some alcohol as well

T: 16/20 - like all their other beers, the taste profile closely follows the nose - pine, resiny with some more muted citrus - grapefruit, pineapple, etc.; in the middle of the mouth, the speciality malts start to take over with some alcohol; finishes sweeter than the other hop-forward beers but not inappropriate for an imperial amber-red ale

M: 4/5 - moderate carbonation; bigger hop oils coat the tongue with a subtle creaminess and body instilled by the oats and alcohols, respectively

O: 8/10 - another nice hopper from Tired Hands; however, I'd put this behind both First Level and HopHands but that might just be my preference for lighter, drier finish than usually offered by an amber ale; definitely worth a shot though, and, I suspect, those with clamor for Troegs' Nuggest Nectar or Green Flash's Hop Red will enjoy this immensely

Thanks Slatetank for sharing this growler with me. Poured into a tired hands wine glass, the brew appears a clear burnt copper color with an off-white cap a finger strong that fades leaving a webbing of lace.

The aromatics are excessively hoppy to the point of pine, herbs and grass with a minor vegetative yeasty hop thing going on. There is some toasty biscuit grain hiding underneath that almost seems burnt but it is masked a bit by the yeastiness and vegetative hop aspect.

The taste is excessively bitter and hoppy to the point of being vegetative and yeasty. There is a flavoring almost like cantaloupe or melon with herbs, grass and catty qualities overtop that grain feel that seems like burnt biscuits and a touch of minerals.

This is a medium bodied offering with modest carbonation. An aggressively hopped red/amber that is over the top. Almost a bit of excessive resinous aspect lingers and a yeasty stank to it starts to get offputting some sips. It is worth a try but collective a but of a mess even for hoppy red standards.

thanks to tenderbranson69 for sharing this growler, enjoyed chilled in an oversized wine glass.

The color is bright red with hazed look w/ thick cream w/ 2 fingers with small bead. The smell has a strong floral and light yeasty odor with subtle malt and toast in the nose. The feel has dry toasted texture with medium carbonation and moderately bitter with creaminess of yeast and medium dry finish.

The taste has a slight nutty taste w/ light sweetness w/ mild hop flavor and malt presence that is more toasted with light pine bitterness and slight woody and stone fruit flavor w/ mild toffee note and more dry nuttiness in the finish which is almost smoky.
This is a pretty easy to drink amber with more bitter hops than actually hop flavored.
