Cask offering at TH.

"Crushable citrus IPA brewed with flaked wheat. Hopped intensely with Motueka and Simcoe. Conditioned on heaps of blood orange and grapefruit puree." This version, obviously, dry-hopped with Falconers Flight.

Much like the original, this beer was a hazy, pale, yellow-orange color, with a half-finger or so of foamy head; moderate retention and lacing. This had been in the cask just about 6 days before I sampled it, so it was pretty much at room temperature. Grassy aroma, mild citrusy hops, biscuity malts. Like the base beer, not quite the juicy hop blast you might expect, but about on par for a lighter brew. The taste was pretty much the same, grassy and citrusy, mild and smooth, grapefruit pith a dominant factor, but now even more mellow, with a light taste of cream on the finish. Smooth mouthfeel, a little thin, but appropriate for a "session beer," light-medium body. Nice overall.
