8 oz. pour on tap at the brewery poured into their flute-like glass, unknown brewing/kegging date, drank over 30 minutes

A: 3/3 - light yellow-orange coloration; high hop haze (cannot read through); small white bubbles coming off the bottom of the glass and emerge into a finger head remaining throughout the drinking

S: 9/12 - some typical Simcoe hop aromas - pine, resin and slight citrus also picking up on some passion fruit and other citrus notes; no alcohol; no flaws

T: 17/20 - in the front of the mouth, there's a soft bitterness that gives way to pine cone and grassy notes; in the middle of the mouth, there's a big slap of sweet passionfruit that just takes over; yet, it still finishes dry and inviting; no detectable alcohol

M: 5/5 - high carbonation; moderate body from the passionfruit puree; moderate hop oils from Simcoe; super drinkable and refreshing

O: 9/10 - hands down the best beer of the TH excursion - I absolutely loved the admixture of passionfruit and pine that this beer offered as one of the best fruit-forward IPAs that I've ever had the pleasure of tasting; highly recommended for a growler/trading

On tap at TH. And then in a growler at home.

As if Mago Tago wasn't enough, they had to do the same beer but with passionfruit instead. Impenetrably cloudy pour, orange-yellow in color, with a finger of foamy white head that retained well and left sheets of lacing on the glass. Loads of sweet passionfruit in the nose, lighter aroma of zesty citrus and wildflowers. A juicy blast of passionfruit in the taste up front, lightly tangy, citrusy Simcoe hop notes coming in shortly after, bringing in a good balancing bitterness, undertones of freshly cut grass. Crisp mouthfeel, pleasant and medium bodied, far too drinkable. Hopefully this one makes more appearances in the future...it's better than Mago Tago.

First things first, love the 1L glass from Tired Hands. Definitely a sweet looking growler.

Pours a cloud orange color, still with good head even after being filled 72 hours + prior to consumption.

Aroma is interesting, citrus fruits and a sharp, tangy smell that must be the passion fruit.

Taste is certainly unique. Tastes very similar to Deschutes fresh squeezed at first, orange dominated citrus with a touch of soft malt balance. Then the peculiar zing of passion fruit takes over and dominates the midpalate and the finish.

Mouthfeel is very soft, though this is likely the result of spending a few days in the growler.

As I haven't had a whole lot of experience with passion fruit previously, I wasn't sure what to expect in the flavor profile. Based on this experience, I don't think I'm a big passion fruit fan. However, I would very much like to try the base IPA for this beer, as the first citrusy notes I tasted were great.
