Growler

Thanks, YaKnowBrady!

Clear light golden and yellow. Small white head. Not a lot of retention, but a small ring of thin bubbles is left at the top of the liquid. Some lacing, but not a lot.

Classic saison aroma: dried grass and hay, just a bit of lemon, the mildest black pepper hint. There's a bit of a lemon rind character as well. Classic and very inviting.

The flavor, as with the aroma, is classic saison. Straightforward but defined and incredibly drinkable. Grass and hay, slight lemon flesh and zest, some pepper, low bitterness, grain, and complementing, very mild funk yeast.

Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Crisp. Flavorful. Disappearing.

Fantastic, yet simple and straightforward, saison. I like this a lot.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Cloudy and deep yellow, with a small head A lace sheet as I drain the cup. A farmhouse aroma. A good malting, that makes so drinkable this four grain saison. Smooth drinker, a thick mouthfeel. A little rye edge. A good orange hop. Very drinkable.

32 oz. growler poured into a Teku snifter.

Appearance - Clear golden orange. Small white head. No lacing and minimal wisping.

Smell - Tons of pilsner malt. Smells like a German pilsner. A little yeasty.

Taste - Hoppier here, but still a bucket of pilsner malt. Earthy hops. Earthy tasting malts. Bitter. Slightly fruity and very yeasty in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Light, medium carbonation. Very drinkable.

Overall - It's decent but the grain bill is not my favorite.

The first pour from a growler about 3 days old that has been kept in the frig. The color is a nice mellow straw yellow with some haze. The head is a light fine foam that dissipates to a fine lace.  There is lemon grass, yeast, a little white grape, and black pepper in the nose. The grains come through full on, particularly rye.  The taste more or less follows the aroma, but the funky barnyard yeast is more present.  Pear and fresh cut hay are noticeable and the finish has an earthy quality.  It is dry and quite refreshing with good carbonation and light body. A great saison!

A - Slightly hazier than a pilsner, yellow, one finger head, nice lacing
S - Grainy, slightly more floral & hoppy
T- medium tart fruit up front, dry & crisp finish. Quaffable & refreshing.
M- quite good, liked the difference between more "saisony" start & hoppier finish
O- very good, low 4.8 abv made it seisiunable for sure.

Served in 8 oz glass
