Had a full tulip at Capone's. It was great to find another session-strength Belgian after recently stumbling upon the 3.8% Newburgh Saison. The only hitch I found in the beer was that the yeast character was a little to strong and unbalanced against the lighter body. Don't get me wrong, it tasted great with the spicy citrus rind and herbal spice blend of a great saison, but it felt relatively rich without the malt to back it up. Still, a fine table beer and one I was glad to find after work.

On tap at Tired Hands. Version spiced with lemon verbena and green peppercorns. Pours a pale yellow-straw color with a nice, foamy white head and good, sticky lacing. The nose brings forward really nice floral elements along with wheat and a touch of pepper. Flavor brings through a nice lemon character along with a touch of peppery spice. The wheat body is killer and the bitterness is just right. Light and super-refreshing. This is exceedingly drinkable and excellently made. I can’t wait to try the next one in the series.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Clear golden pour with a nice cap of fluffy white head; moderate retention and lacing. Nice floral aroma, toasted grains, honey, mild hops. Delightfully smooth and full-flavored for such a low ABV beer. The floral notes from the nose return on the palate, toasted grains, light sugar sweetness, grassy, leafy, touch of citrus zest; I didn't get a lot of spice, but in subtlety there is goodness. Smooth mouthfeel, light-medium body, and extremely drinkable.

Light gold body with excellent clarity; small, slowly settling head and creamy lace. Peppery, yeasty aroma; lightly sweet and spicy with a faint wheat note.
Amazing flavor and complexity for such a low ABV beer; gentle malty sweetness; floral and citrusy hops bringing a pleasant bitterness. Yeasty spice notes; pepper, lemon; a touch of hay or grass. Highly drinkable. Medium light bodied with crisp carbonation and a dry finish.
Just a really nice beer and one I appreciate all the more for its drinkability, refreshing qualities, and intricacy of taste while keeping the alcohol firmly in check.

On Tap at Tired Hands.
Table Verbana sports a bold bright gold color that glows with vigor while a big dense inch of white stuff graces the top leaving stick. Activity rising up with a bunch of bubbles. Scents include bready yeast up front backed by some citrus with the lemon popping in. Get some pear with some wheat in the mix. A nice nose on this one. Taste is bananas, well not bananas literally. I get a nice dose of wheat mixing in with the yeast. Citrus in the middle that highlights lemon with slight pineapple and pear. Not really picking up on the peppercorn though. As with all TH beers, carb is always spot on, this really hits the spot and is not palate wrecking. No lingering aftertaste, easy to take down, I'll have another

A spiced, session table Saison? Yes, please. On draft at Tired Hands.
Pours a hazed bright golden color with a pillowy white head. Nose is a rich balance of grass, yeast, light bitterness, lemon and pepper. Crisp, light body, well carbonated and dry finish. Light spice and pepper balance a clean yeast flavor. I'll need to reevaluate a growler of this soon.
