Big thanks to yourefragile. Served in Tired Hands stemware. Hazy light yellow. Short head. Nose is insane with dank hops and lemon rind. Citrus. Flavor is over the top. Great lemon. Bitter. Dry. Hands down one of the best hoppy beers I've ever had. No surprise given the brewers involved.

Growler filled at the brewery. One of the bartenders filled for me and he wasn’t quite as fastidious as Jean; consequently the beer was not in as pristine a shape as it was when the boss purged with CO2 and left absolutely no air in the growler during a previous visit.

I’m splitting hairs here; the beer was still quite good, but not as outstanding as it was on tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, pale gold with a small, quickly diminishing head and minimal, spotty lacing. Citrusy, fruity aroma with a vague oniony undercurrent, that Amarillo thing. Vividly hoppy without much of a malt aroma at all.

The taste follows the nose, but is perhaps a little lighter in the assertiveness of the hops than in the aroma. The malt is still well-hidden overall and the citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, resin, onion-garlic hop notes are front and center, but there’s a certain gentleness about it and it doesn’t overwhelm the palate with bitterness at all. Complex, intricate, and dry.

Smooth carbonation; just a little lower than it should have been, medium-light bodied; very easy to drink.

Collaboration beer with Shaun Hill from Hill Farmstead Brewing.

Last pour from the growler, day after opening the growler.

No carbonation to speak of. Yesterday when I first opened it up, there was some off-white head that would build with the typical reverse cascade look going on. Now, nothing. The color is a hazy peach. I am trying to be forgiving for this score, because it is off the last pour and it is from a growler.

The aroma is very powerful and aromatic, not to mention quite attractive. Perfumy...some floral notes, like notes of lilac. Some citrus fruit, or tart fruit in general showing up. Notes of kiwi and pineapple.

Light in body, with a low to medium bitterness. Really wuite fruity and citrusy. No carbonation. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Very mild. This is an IPA that pretty much anyone could get behind. BIG, Juicy and appetizing aromas and flavors that are not a part of anything "imperial" or experimental.

It is straightforward and one of the best American IPA's (though I think it would be smarter to list it as a Pale Ale) that I have had.
