A collaboration with Shaun and Dan from Hill Farmstead, this is an American IPA brewed with Amarillo, Citra, Motueka, and roughly a case of lemon zest/juice.

Pours a hazed light orange golden color with a large, fluffy retentive white head, leaving behind ample lace. Nose is full of citrus zest and floral and citric hops. Medium full body, mild carbonation, and a well balanced finish of floral and spicy hops and fruit. Lemon juice and zest is present is assertive in flavor but not overpowering and adds a nice refreshing balance to what tastes like most other Hill Farmstead hoppy beers (not a bad thing obviously). Hopefully TH makes another batch or 10 of this. (671 characters)

Pours a golden amber color, full, dense white head, some sticky lacing. Strong notes of juicy, yet bitter, grapefruit, tangerine and tropical fruit, lightly floral and spicy, crackery malts burried beneath juicyness. Taste brings firmly bitter, lightly sweet and juicy hops, clearn and fresh but delicate, more floral notes, crackery with a spicy kick. Medium bodied, dry. Solid collaboration with fantastic scent, just maybe a touch meek in hop flavor. (453 characters)

Big thanks to yourefragile. Served in Tired Hands stemware. Hazy light yellow. Short head. Nose is insane with dank hops and lemon rind. Citrus. Flavor is over the top. Great lemon. Bitter. Dry. Hands down one of the best hoppy beers I've ever had. No surprise given the brewers involved. (288 characters)

Growler filled at the brewery. One of the bartenders filled for me and he wasn’t quite as fastidious as Jean; consequently the beer was not in as pristine a shape as it was when the boss purged with CO2 and left absolutely no air in the growler during a previous visit.

I’m splitting hairs here; the beer was still quite good, but not as outstanding as it was on tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, pale gold with a small, quickly diminishing head and minimal, spotty lacing. Citrusy, fruity aroma with a vague oniony undercurrent, that Amarillo thing. Vividly hoppy without much of a malt aroma at all.

The taste follows the nose, but is perhaps a little lighter in the assertiveness of the hops than in the aroma. The malt is still well-hidden overall and the citrus, pineapple, grapefruit, resin, onion-garlic hop notes are front and center, but there’s a certain gentleness about it and it doesn’t overwhelm the palate with bitterness at all. Complex, intricate, and dry.

Smooth carbonation; just a little lower than it should have been, medium-light bodied; very easy to drink. (1,091 characters)
