Another beer from a friend - wish all my trades/shipments could be like this. Thanks Pnell316!
I was not a huge fan of this at first, but thanks to it being a growler drank on two separate occasions, it really grew on me. Amber in color - my friends say it looks like mellow yellow, but I would say it is more orange than anything and not quite mellow yellow. There is a small amount of white head that falls quick but overall it does leave a bit of lacing. On the aroma, the hops are harsh, but really quite good. Strong pine, orange, and a little grapefruit. When you taste it, the first thing that comes is the harsh hops, then some orange rind and a little alcohol burn. The mouthfeel starts off weak but fills out a little. Carbonation is lacking.
Overall it really is very good. A little harsh for me, but still very drinkable and delicious. I would recommend it to those that enjoy an IPA on the opposite end of the spectrum from Pliny.

A 16OZ glass at The Brew Cafe in Ardmore, I am intrigued by the name.
WEEDEATER looks like a golden IPA, a gold color, light yellow shades on the sides, light looking, a nice off white head up top leaving some patterns on the glass. This one smells straight up double. The malt is large the hops beneath it. Floral scents with some tropic fruit and bubblegum coming through. Drinking this, on first sips, this reminds me of all of the Port anniversary DIPA beers, the malt addition is spot on with that with big biscuit. Tropic fruit, very faint pine. Sweet, hoppy, floral. The feel is medium with a pleasant carb going that's not too bitey. A wholelot of alcohol in this, better to sip and savor. A fine DIPA. Think Port Anniverasry DIPA

64oz growler, filled 12/6/12, drank 12/6/12
Hill Farmstead wine glass
A: Pours a light orange, almost yellow color. It's cloudy. Soapy white head. Sticky lacing bubbles. Some alcohol feet.
S: Lots of cat pee on the nose. Almost reminds me of Heady, but not AS GOOD. Resinous piney hop florals. More earthly than fruity for sure, but there is some fruit juice in there.
T: Bitter up front, soapy and piney. Tasting some of that cat pee astrigency. Minimal malt bill. Dry finish with lingering piney hops.
M: It's a light medium bodied.
Good, but it seems like this could have used more time.
