Growler provided by mixylplik3, thanks for the opportunity Matt.
Pours a deeply hazy straw color without much of a head. Smells of funky and citric fruit with a bit of kiwi thrown into it. The flavor is lightly tart with a nice citric and kiwi thing going on with a hint of funk and a sulfur rotten fruit flavor that luckily doesn't dominate or stick around very long. Light body with a lightly tart puckering mouthfeel and a moderate level of carbonation. This is a light easy to drink beer that would go great sitting on the deck when it gets a little warmer.

$5.00 for 10oz, served in an elongated chalice
Sampled 22FEB13

[A] Arrives with a wispy white head, bright, sudsy and short lived. The body is a pale, soft and light yellow with enough murkiness to prohibit any transparency. No lacing.

[S] Light lactic aromas on the nose with a cellar-like mustiness, plus soured grain and a restrained kiwi fruit character.

[T] Sourness is modest but plays well off of the spritzy acidity. Tangy, yogurt-like qualities come through from midpalate on. The fruit character could be elevated a bit more because the addition of kiwi seems like a fantastic and natural combination with a Berliner base. Nevertheless, the flavor is not lacking - even at 3.5% ABV.

[M] Super crispy, light and refreshing. Everything a Berliner should be - just not as sour or lactic as I like. Plus the kiwi component was downplayed, which seems like a missed opportunity to me.

[O] I thought this beer was MUCH better than the ratings suggest - and I'd happily have another.

Thanks to xnicknj for this.

Pour was hazy straw yellow, pale as can be. Thin light head but decent looking.

Fruity and malty. Nose was light, not much going on here.

Fruity up front, the kiwi is apparent. A tropical fruit with a very very mild tartness. Towards the finish, very pale malt and bread forward.

Light and easy, mild carbonation. Slick with a very faint tartness, but enough to keep it interesting.

I enjoyed this, my wife loved it. Sounds weird but almost had a wine like feel to its flavor profile. Worth trying.

Hazy and cloudy, gray hued straw color, somewhat bubbly. Notes of musty grain and hay on the nose, lemon and lime rind. Taste quite mild all around, musty grain and lightly tart citrus rind... hoping for more tart Berliner and kiwi qualities. Lighter bodied, mildly bubbly. Lacking in a few areas to make it stand out at Tired Hands or against other Berliners.

Poured from a growler during a tasting. Cloudy white and watered-down lemonade-like in color, barely enough color to call it straw. Hazy and foggy - looks like white grape juice with very tiny bits of sediment floating around, slightly olive-green tint to it. Aroma is packed with apples, apple skins, white grapes, pears, and some moderate kiwi. Some lemon and lime zest detected as well. Mainly fruity on the nose, not much to mention in terms of vibrant malt or hop characters.

Hits the palate pretty thin with a medium-high amount of carbonation. Slightly tart up front, turning quickly to a lasting, fruity sweetness. Kiwi, green apple, white grapes, and ripe pears. Very "juicy" in character. The aftertaste contains a nice amount of lemon-lime zest, mildly reminiscent of a Sprite (but in "beer" form, of course). The kiwi wasn't as ripe or juicy as I thought it would be, but it's definitely noticeable. Very crisp and refreshing on the tongue, and a pretty hefty amount of fruit flavor given the style.

Flavorful and quenching for being only 3.5% ABV - this is definitely something I could drink all day, especially on a hot day after being outside for a while. Nice example of the Berliner Weiss, I'd love to have a growler of this stuff to myself.

on tap at the brewpub

Pale, hazy straw yellow pour with a one-finger layer of white head resting on top. Fades out fairly quickly with little retention or lacing.

Soft tart nose with hints of kiwi and tropical fruit. Straw and wet hay with some citrus and yeast.

Brisk kiwi tartness right up front followed by yeasty, funky straw and hay. Biscuit malts and grain with some continuing fruit and a dry, tart finish.

Lighter body, decent carbonation, refreshing and crisp on the tongue. Easy drinking, invigorating tartness and nice finish, although I was hoping for some more expressive fruit flavor.

1-liter growler into a matching Tired hands oversized wine glass. The brew appears a clouded yellow with a white frothy finger of head that collapses to a thin ring fairly quick which is typical for the style. Some faint spotty lace sticks to the wall of the glass.

The smell consists of bread and yeast. A faint fruity and lemony character emerges across the middle. This is a bit seedy with some notes of yogurt. A bit of sour mashing aromatics is present faintly suggesting oxygen was present while the wort was being soured. It has a distinct note almost like corn and grain about to be spoiled.

The taste is bready with yeasty notes coupled with lemon. A bit of fruity charcter is present that I want to guess is the kiwi but it isnt bold by any means and kiwi is in its own regards a pretty subtile fruit. Sone yogurt notes persist into the aftertaste.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It has a lightly almost chalky feel. It is easy drinking with some nice sour mash qualities and fruitiness. Thisbis not bad but it is a bit of a letdown after having their kvass which raised my level of expectation higher than it probably should have been.
