First had: on tap at TH

Cloudy, straw-yellow pour, with a large cottony white head that retained well and left doily patterns of lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon zest, fresh cut grass, toasted wheat. Taste was crisp and grassy, wet hay with a mild funk, essence of lemon zest and honeysuckle, mellow toasted grains, some peppery spice. Crisp and clean mouthfeel, light-medium body, with a definite creaminess probably derived from the oat component. Great beer to usher in summertime.

32 oz growler, filled 2 days ago at the TH cafe, poured into a tulip glass.

A- Pours a hazy, pale golden yellow color, topped with an inch of white head, leaves nice lacing.

S- Bread, citrus, some peppery spice, grass and straw. Smells very nice.

T- Blend of fruit, mostly citrus but also some tropical/pineapple, also lots of black pepper, along with hay and leafy hops. The funkiness is very light and earthy. Finishes slightly bitter.

M- Medium-bodied, smooth, creamy feel, very dry.

O- This is a really awesome saison and one of the better beers I've tried from TH so far.

4oz taster pour at the brewpub 5/9/13

A: Pours out similar to CuzCuz but probably more cloudy. Cloudy hazy bright pale yellow. You can tell this beer has oats and wheat in it. Thin layer of bright white. Some thin lacing.

S: Pepper and citrus notes on the nose. Definitely get that pineapple character. Slight funk coming in there too. Really nice nose here.

T: Pepper and fruit juice. Like they mention, this is the closest they have come to a traditional Saison. It's bigger than FarmHands, in body and ABV, but I like the strong pepper flavors with the funk that I am getting here. Those Cascade hops don't hurt either. Crisp finish that I love from refreshing Saisons. Well done TH.

M: Medium bodied due to the oat/wheat additions.
