On-tap at Tired Hands, June 2013:

The beer appeared a darker, clear amber color with a slightly off-white, creamy head that was well retained and left a good amount of lacing on the glass. The beer gave off a sweet malt aroma, as a farmhouse would, but also with a hint of oak and citrus. The taste was more hoppy than expected, but with a nice sweet maltiness to it. Medium-bodied, smooth, and very drinkable. After this one and the Caskette, I can't wait to get back and try some more.

On-tap at Tired Hands.

A- Pours a clear amber color, some white head.

S- Oak, lots of citrus, some nice earthy, grassy funk.

T- A surprising amount of hops. The dry-hopping with Amarillo is very prominent and is a bit surprising for an oaked saison. The oak, in contrast, is relatively subtle. There's some nice citrus and earthy funk.

M- Medium-bodied, smooth feel, very nice.

O- A strange brew, I don't necessarily dislike anything about it, but the hops were surprising and at least IMO sort of steamrolled the oak. Still it's a tasty beer overall and very drinkable.

First had: on tap at the brewpub

Labeled as an "oaked farmhouse mild."

Peach-amber color, hazy, with a nice cap of creamy white head that retained well and laced the glass. Quite a bit of oak in the aroma, grassy, musty, hints of citrus. Again, a decent dose of oak on the palate, toasty pale malts, an unexpected mild tartness lingered on the tongue throughout the session, grass, lemon zest and grape, light funky yeast notes. Very pleasant. Soft mouthfeel, typical of TH brews, light-medium body, and highly drinkable. Very good overall.
