On cask at Tired Hand, June 2013:

This is an outstanding beer, although I must confess that I have really been enjoying lower ABV English Pale Ales, ESBs and other sessionable beers as of late. If I lived in the area, I would be at the pub every day that this beer was on tap/on cask. The beer was a nice, bright, slightly hazy orange that produced a light foamy white head that was very well retained and settled into thin cap. The beer had a nice, not to hoppy aroma, but citrus and earthy/flowery hops. The beer was well balanced with a nice biscuit flavor in addition to the hop characteristics noted in the nose. The beer had a light-to-moderate feel and it was extremely easy to drink, smooth, and refreshing. I am not really sure what they could do to improve the beer as this is outstanding.

First had: on tap at TH

Listed as a "hoppy golden mild." While I'm not sure the "English pale mild" style fully encapsulates this brew, I guess it's the closest thing. Really this came off more as a pale ale than a mild, but whatever.

Hazy orange-amber pour, topped with a small, dense cap of frothy white head; nice retention and lacing. This beer was pretty simple (and it was so on purpose, as the bar list said). Aroma of fresh citrusy hops, toasted grains. More of the same in the taste, crisp hops, orange and grapefruit rind/pith, pine bark, a bitter bite to it, lots of toasted grains. There was a lot of flavor for a more "sesssionable" beer. Light-medium body. The graininess detracted from the drinkability a bit, but not enough to make the beer unenjoyable.
