First had: on tap at TH

I pretty much don't like pilsners at all. This however, was mighty tasty. Technically labeled as a "keller pilsner."

Slightly hazy golden-yellow pour with a frothy white head that receded to a ringlet, leaving nice lacing on the glass. Crisp, clean aroma, pils malts, grass, grapefruit and lemon. Upon tasting, there's no doubt that this is a pilsner, with a definite grainy pils maltiness coming through, crisp hops soon taking over, flavors of grass, grapefruit and lemon zest. Actually very close to a pale ale profile, which--for me, at least--was a good thing, but with that smooth lagery sweetness ever present. Light body, but full of crisp zesty flavor, tremendously drinkable. (711 characters)

Thanks to BA Slatetank for hooking me up with a 1-liter of this. Poured into an over-sized Tired Hands wine glass the brew appears a clear golden yellow with a frothy white topping nearly 3 fingers strong. It displays solid retention and paints the wall of the glass with a webbing as it fades.

The aroma is leafy with citrus hops that are somewhat grassy and rindy with a slight herbal edge. A sweet biscuit to grainy fresh backing is present but the hops are pretty much the star of the show.

The taste is mutually hoppy but with hop flavor moreso than bitterness. The bitterness is kept low-key only to keep the biscuit to bready malt sweetbess from getting too bold. The hop flabor is lightly grassy with some citrus and rind with a fruity zest aftertaste that lasts.

This is a light bodied brew with a modest level of carbonation. It is crisp, clean and absolutely crushable. Very well balanced. I wish I would have gotten a 2-liter instead of just 1. For a style of beer that really doesnt get much attention, they hit this one out of the park...like upper deck, way out of the park. (1,093 characters)

I don't like pilsners to begin with, and this one was just too "skunky" for my liking (sorry). (94 characters)
