"A blended strong brown ale fermented atop a copious amount of local strawberries!"
Served in a wine glass, a medium brown color with a small cap of off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, yeast, distant berry notes. Taste of roasty malts, caramel and a dusting of cocoa powder, strawberries are somewhere off in the distance, lending a slight acidity to the mix, bready yeast with a bit of funk, fairly earthy in the finish. Body was on the lighter side of medium, with soft carbonation. 11.5% ABV? Don't know where it was hiding. Overall interesting, but a bit unbalanced. Might come together better with a little age, but then again, strawberry is typically a quickly-fading flavor.
