First had: cask at TH
Labeled on the cask as "Rhubarb FarmHands."
As the name would imply: FarmHands cask-conditioned on rhubarb.
Hazy pale, pale lightest yellow, with a huge, rocky, white head that receded to a more manageable level and then retained there until the end of the session, coating the glass with lace. Much like the base version, grassy funk in the nose, light and clean, light fruity esters, fresh mountain air. I had this side by side with a small pour of FH for comparison. The same grassiness, fresh hops, light spice, biscuity yeast, notably more bitterness in there than in the regular. At first no real notes of rhubarb came out, but after warming for a few moments, a nice earthy rhubarb sensation became manifest, slightly tart, slightly sugary, slightly vegetal. Pretty much delivered exactly what was promised without going overboard. Light-bodied, mild, very drinkable. Great idea for a variation!
