A - cloudy marigold. Little foam. Growler is a few days old.

S - very interesting aroma. At certain points the aroma is full of funky brett, white grapes and flowers. Yet on the next sniff its a lovely mix of malt and yeasty esters creating a raspberry jelly donut note.

T - flaky dough. Crisp acidity. Lemon curds. Raspberries.
White grapes. Brett on the backend.

M - lighter medium. Super crisp. Medium carb. Tight bubbles.

O - really unique beer. I'd probably consider this more of an american wild ale but no matter what you call it, it is tasty and a great pairing partner. It was fantastic with some chicken tikka masala.

A: Pours a lighter yellow color with two fingers of head. Head retention is decent with nice ribbed lacing on the glass.

S: Spices, citrus, sharp aroma.

T: Really nice and flavorful Saison. Lots of spice and citrus with ample hop flavor coming through. Wine barrel fermenting adds a nice dimension to enhance the fresh Saison flavor.

M: Light yet full of body.

O: Really good brew.

I had this on tap at the pub in Ardmore, serve chilled in a glass.

The color is hazy amber with a small white head with fine bead some lace sticks to the glass. The smell is very good with moderate amount of barrel essence in the aroma and some herbal and funk esters. The feel is good with moderate tannin and moderate carbonation with semi-dry finish the alcohol is well hidden.

The taste comes off slightly vinous with some grape element and citrus zest flavor with light herbal notes with moderate amount of wild yeast in the mix a nice blend of sweet malt and sour accents from the yeast. The overall drinkability is high, I was pretty surprised how intense this was a pretty unique saison- I am not sure I got much chamomile, but with all the other wild things happening it wasn't any loss.

From 07/13/13 notes. Had this on tap at the brewery in Ardmore, PA.

a - Pours a hazy, burnt orange-yellow color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident. Lots of lacing left on the glass.

s - Smells of floral notes, honey, wheat, fruity malts, citrus hops, yeast, spices, and dough. Nice nose, Lots going on here with the fruit and hops.

t - Tastes of floral hops, tropical fruits, citrus hops, oranges, herbal notes, white grapes, flowers, yeast, spice, grains, and wheat. More herbal and floral than the nose, but the fruit is still there too. A slight step up for me from the nose. Very nice.

m - Medium body and low carbonation. Super smooth and creamy and very easy to drink. Great mouthfeel.

o - Overall a very good beer that grew on me. At first I thought it was light and nice, but the more I drank it the more I loved it. Nose is fruity with light floral notes, while the taste takes on more of an herbal taste, but keeping the fruit. Very easy to drink, would love to have again.

On tap @ Tired Hands, served in an 8oz glass

A - Hazy/cloudy pour with one finger white head. A little cloudier than a standard TH saison; I'm assuming from the chamomile.

S - Way different than I was expecting. I was expecting an earthy, soft, chamomile saison, but this one smells pretty funky with a ton of white wine and grape notes. I didn't get much of the tea, but what was there smelled great.

T - Surprise of the night. The partial wine barrel aging is dead on with this one. Almost tastes like a slightly stronger, blended version of Handfarm with just a trace amount of tea added. Really delicious.

M - Standard medium-low Tired Hands carbonation. Worked for this beer though, wouldn't have wanted a ton of bubbles.

O - I almost didn't order this because I don't like chamomile tea, but I'm really glad I did. Definitely a solid offering from TH and a perfect example of what they do well - non-mega ABV beers with some complexity that drink really smooth. I want a growler of this one for my face.
