Reviewed at Cosby Campground, Smoky Mountain National Park, TN. Full notes taken.
A- Pale golden somewhat hazy bodied bottle to goblet pour. Small white creamy head to just under one finger. Decent head retention as a thick puffy ring results. Lacing is spotty as well as webbed.
S- Stone fruit hops are prominent with apricot and tangerine notes laid atop a spiciness, yeast bread and pale cracked malts.
T- Fairly hoppy but not dominated by them at all. Stone fruits, grapefruit, spicy and herbal notes meld with slight sweets, cereal grains, a defined spicy yeast note, bread and pear esters.
MF- Light bodied overall mouthfeel with a slightly foamy, silky texture but ends up somewhat thin. Carbonation at a medium level and the finish is fairly bitter.
Somewhat hoppy golden ale with stone fruits first and then fruity and spicy yeast. Perhaps the yeast being cleaner would help out but it isnt as smooth as it could be.

Color is medium amber in the tulip glass. Attractive fine-grained foam. Slight plastic aroma. Some toasted malt with a bitterish dishwater tang. Some substance to the body.It tastes bacterial at first sip, though maybe it's just an unfortunate choice of ingredients.
There are definitely some aromatic hops rather than the heavy bittering ones. It's just that the flavor is so peculiar. Did they pick some wild hops down by the drainage ditch? IBUs are rated at just 27, but it has an odd bitter edge. The aftertaste is over-steeped herbal tea. Looks are nice, but after half a glass I'm heading for the sink. From the 12 oz bottle bought at AJ's Fine Foods in Chandler.

12 oz bottle poured to snifter
Lovely clear dark golden color, a bit over a finger of white head, persistent bubbles after that settles... a bit of sticky lacing
Nice floral hoppy aroma, slight breadiness, vague piney, grassy note.
Taste is heavy on hop flavor, but well balanced. Some roasted malt and brown sugar notes in the aftertaste, not to complex but really nice.
Mouthfeel is heavy for 5%, good carbonation helps, but probably this brews weakest point... I'd expect more refreshing and less meaty
My first Mother Road brew... good looking with nice label art. The other elements aren't quite as amazing as it looks, but a very decent brew.

Picked up a single at BevMo at the end May for $1.79.
Beer poured orange with a beautiful white head that is hanging around quite well.
Nose has some citrus notes.
Taste is different, some heavy toasted malts are coming thru and dominating. A tea and citrus hop are left on the palate in a resinous fashion. Not overly cohesive.
Mouthfeel is decently carbonated and refreshing.
Overall this is a decent brew with some unusual characteristics. Not sure if i had an off bottle so i will give it a shot one more time.
