Poured a deep brown with a one finger fluffy off-white head. When held to light there is a light reddish tint to the body. Pretty nice looking brown ale. Nose is nutty, with hints of toffee and roast malt. Standard for a brown ale, but nice. Flavor was nutty, with a slight hint of toffee, a hint of roast malt on the finish and a moderate, floral hop character in the background. Quite nice, very enjoyable to drink. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Easy to drink and goes down smooth, like a good pub ale should. Overall a very solid brown ale, probably the best of the Arizona brewed browns I've tried. Worth trying if you can get it.

From the north of Arizona, here's comes 12 ounces of brown ale. On to the beer:
The color is chestnut brown with amber hues. On top is a very foamy head which formed rapidly on the pour and continues to retain much of itself. That can't be a good sign, can it? A few whiffs of the aroma and I'm smelling medical ointment mixed with a sweet brown ale. The flavor has a decent base of brown ale, but mixed with a sour infection. The beer is light bodied and much too bubbly in the mouth.
It's a shame this sample was tainted, because there might be a decent brown ale underneath. But, keeping things clean is an essential part of the brewing game.

This one spewed all over me when I unwisely cracked the cap while lounging. Big foam up that stays tall for a long time. Coarse, endless bubbles and a carbonated water flavor. Cardboard and toasted malt along with the soda water taste.
Some hoppy bitterness, though nothing like a pleasant hop aromatic. A touch of charred malt. Grainy and dry. This is beyond mediocre. Though it doesn't actually taste spoiled, there is somethiing unpleasant going on in the bottle. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Whole Foods in Chandler.
