Pours from 22 oz can built like a Sherman Tank. Poured into a glass. Thinking of how many of these I drank while stationed in Tachikawa and Yokota AB back in the day.
Pours a golden clear yellow with 2 inch head that dissapates quickly with little lacing.
Smells of metallic container and earthy.
Tastes like metal and earthy hops.
Hypercarbonated on the tongue and watery feel in the mouth.
Taste lingers with bitter aftertaste.
Another memory of my youth bites the dust. Maybe its the setting, but I had held Sapporo and Kirin up as special ( I had not had a Japanese beer in 30 years.) and now have concluded it is a beer I will drink sparingly if at all. Maybe its the setting. If I ever get back to the bars in Shinjuku, I will happily try again.

Appearance- Poured from 355 ml bottle brewed by Coopers Brewery Australia under supervision of Sapporo. No best before date. Pours straw yellow with small quickly dissipating head. Moderate carbonation, no lacing left on the glass.
Smell- Some sweetness like honey on the nose but can't smell much else.
Taste- Sweetness up front with a little bitterness arriving quickly from the hops, dry finish.
Mouthfeel- Medium mouthfeel, not to thin.
Overall- Would be refreshing on a hot summers day or would pair well with a hot curry but an unspectacular lager.
