A: A pale bubbly yellow with slight cloudiness. A vigorous pour produces only a small amount of white head that quickly reduces to a small island.

S: Very clean and simple. Slight grassiness with the hops whispering hello. Sweet, mellow and very subtle. It occurs to me that this smells just like a rice lager should.

T: Tastes as mellow as it smells. The malt/hop balance is incredible. Very clean, straightforward and to the point. Makes no excuses for what it is. A crisp, refreshing rice lager. There is also a spice or something else mixed in there but I can't identify it. Seems a very well thought out beer. Simple is sometimes better.

M: Thin and consistent. Nice snap. The CO2 is dialed down slightly from other rice lagers which is a good thing.

D: Very drinkable. A great beer to have served at a little colder temperatures which makes it ideal as a refresher on a hot day. Also great for sushi and sake bombs.

Without a doubt the best macro-rice lager available. People need to understand the style and intent before rating this beer.

look: 2.75 | smell: 2.75 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3

Appearance- Poured from 355 ml bottle brewed by Coopers Brewery Australia under supervision of Sapporo. No best before date. Pours straw yellow with small quickly dissipating head. Moderate carbonation, no lacing left on the glass.

Smell- Some sweetness like honey on the nose but can't smell much else.

Taste- Sweetness up front with a little bitterness arriving quickly from the hops, dry finish.

Mouthfeel- Medium mouthfeel, not to thin.

Overall- Would be refreshing on a hot summers day or would pair well with a hot curry but an unspectacular lager.
