Pours a pale, light straw color with a small bright white head that dissipates very quickly to a clumpy film.
Smell is hops, lemon/skunk, light malt and celery. Balance is decent.
Taste is weak with some hops, malt and a faint citrus/celery note common to so many mega-adjuncts. Balance is decent here as well.
More body than I expected though it is still well on the light side of medium. Carbonation is more restrained than I expected, too. Not the bitter bite of so many adjunct lagers, a decent feel and an aftertaste with some flavor of citrus from the hops. Quite watery and some alcohol presence is noted.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear straw color with a nice foamy head that stays around for a few minutes than virtually disappears with no appreciable lacing.
Aroma: Not much here, maybe a little hops and grass
Taste: More of the same here, no off flavors but nothing to excite you either. A little sweet fruit, grassy hops, and malt.
Texture: Crisp and light from carbonation
Drinkability: Mass produced taste, not bad, wouldn't seek out but would grab in place of many others.
Notes: A few sips from the can than poured into a Pilsener Glass.

Nice golden color pured on my glass. Medium white head that dissipates quickly. It has a barly malt smell with little hop presence. Taste is nice with good balance. I enjoyed this beer as any good lager. It has good aftertaste and it is refreshing. Really good.

Looks like piss water. Pale straw color and almost completely clear. Thick, white, fluffy head with good lacing.

Better smell than look. Flowery, fruity, grainy nose, almost yeasty biscuit-like.

Typical crappy lager-like lack of flavor, tastes like dirt must taste.

Little to no feel, mostly just a combination of sour and bitter.

Tastes like a shitty American macro, wish I hadn't picked up the 22-ounce can.

First had: ?

Ever notice that beers labeled as "premium" are almost always the exact opposite? Sapporo "Premium" pours from the can a golden-straw-yellow color, clear, with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grains, corn, skunk...pretty much adjunct lager. Taste is the same, grains, corn, malty sweetness, and vague yeastiness. Light body, thin, unnecessary, undrinkable. Yet strangely still better than Bud or Old E.

i try to like this at sushi places, but this one doesnt do it for me ever. last night i had a bomber with some nice sushi down the street at john hollys. pours clear watery looking straw yellow color with a small white head. smells like grains that do actually aromatically compliment the sushi, but certainly would not be appealing in any other context. flavor is adjunct lagery, not bad and rotten metallic taste, but just sort of irrelevant really. feel is fine, bubbly and light, drinkable if you are half dead. forget this one

This is a much like Asahi. It tastes like a strange sweetened water, but it is very light so it would work after a large meal. But there's nothing particularly good about it.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale yellow in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a two finger tall fluffy white head that reduces to about 25% of the original size but remains throughout the beer. Moderate to significant lacing is observed.

S: Aromas of rice malts, adjunct malts (grain + corn), some slight hints of yeast, and just a touch of citrus/lemon. There is also a subtle grassy hops in the background.

T: The flavor follows the smell for this beer... lots of rice malts, adjunct malts (mostly grain with just a hint of corn), and very light hints of citrus. Also, there is a bitter aftertaste (but not like the bitterness that I normally associate with hops).

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. The beer is slightly thin/watery with a dry finish.

O: Very easy to drink and actually pretty refreshing - pairs really well with the delicate flavors of sushi (this is my normal sushi restaurant beer).

A: Straw pale yellow with a smaller white head. Okay lacing.

S: Clean and bland. A bit of hay and sweet grass. Grains and and ever so slight grassy hop presence.

T: Refreshing and crisp, but pretty neutral inoffensive flavors. Slight grain sweetness, cereal malts and a touch of hop bitterness.

M: Light body, high carbonation. Not my thing.

O: Very drinkable and pretty refreshing. Get this ever time I've gone to Ichiban.

Bought this import at one of those corporate restaurants, this one being Huhot. Its not much different than an average American corporate style lager. It may remind of the usual Bud wesier. smell is a little better than a Bud or Miller, but the difference stops there. Same old average boring thin hoppy dry and a bit bitter taste.

I recommend that you listen to this beer some FM3, which is a Chinese electric duo. the good sound will up the weak flavors. Aso.

Reviewed from session notes.

A. Pale golden color with just a touch of haze to it, one finger of soft fluffy head which dissolves away in about a minute with minimal lacing left behind.

S. Vague corn aroma, that's about all I can pull out of it.

T. And vague corn mixed with mushy old rice is about all I can taste in it as well, hints of lemon peel appear as it warms, but get muddled up in a tinge of metal.

M. Light body, nicely carbonated.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden straw color with an inch thick, fluffy white head. Has a nice, creamy lacing.

Smell - Rice, yeast, and a hint of lemon.

Taste - Not very pleasant.. Strong flavor of rice with malts, a hint of lemon, and a strange bitter aftertaste. Tastes similar to gluten-free beers which are usually made with sorghum.

Mouthfeel - Medium body with medium carbonation.

Overall - It's not a horrible beer or anything.. just not something I'd waste my money on lol. I'd drink it all night long if presented for free.

Served in a pilsner glass. This pours a slightly hazy golden color with two fingers of fluffy white head. Lots of tiny bubbles rising to the top. Real good retention on the head and some nice sticky lace.

Pretty nice grain bill in the aroma with a hint of lemon. Not offensive at all just not much to it. Seems to have a mild bitter hop finish. Light mellow flavors. It must be the rice but this has a rather sweet finish. Some mild bitter hops with some mellow grains.

The body is light with active carbonation. Overall, no real reason to drink this. There's pleanty of other bad beers that will cost less.

Pours a light pale yellow with a pure white head that disappeared in a nano second.
Aroma is corn, grain, grass and cold metal.
Taste: Not much. Light, watered down. Unworthy.
Fits the Coor's joke as well as Corr's does, what do either one have in common with screwing in a boat? Answer, both are close to water.
The two Japan beers I just reviewed left alot to be desired.

Tastes sweet even a little corny.

Feels lights and easy to drink, pretty sweet.

Pours well for a two finger thick bright white head, good retention, and a golden colored body with a light chill haze.

The aroma is light grain, lemon, and mildly metallic.

Taste wise I get a slight cereal graininess along with hints of tobacco. Perhaps a little lemon too.

Feels a little coarse upfront, but leaves the palate moist.

Poured from the bottle, a large 24oz big sucker, into a tumbler, at Sapporo noodle house NYC.

Pours rather normally, boy color though is strangely a yellow lager like but also really orange. Some classic small rising carbonation and a white head that manages some staying power but its quite pock marked.

Nose? What nose there is litteraly no smell on this beer (the glass doesn't really help).

Taste is surprisingly not that bad but also not exciting. Malt sugar action hits and falls incredibly flat very quickly on each sip. Dull and lifeless body but surprisingly not that watery. Not too carbonated and fizzy either.

Overall its quite inoffensive but its also boring and seems to hardly register in the senses. Nothing exciting to get worked up on drink one and another and another and you will forget about it.

Half inch white head recedes quickly over a pale gold body. No head retention but some lacing.

Slight sweetness. Id like to say that's a rice aroma but that'd be too easy.

Frankly, this beer may have the leasr flavor of any beer I've ever had. Really, I don't get much...maybe some biscuity, bready malt. Low on the hops.

Medium to medium thin mouthfeel, highly carbonation.

Big time drinkability if only because it doesn't taste like much. The good thing is its non-offensive. If you're looking for flavor, look elsewhere...would have again though.

Pours a yellowish gold color with a thin off white head. Minimal lacing on the side of my CBS snifter. Fairly clear in appearance. The nose is fairly simple, mainly rice, grass, and weak hops. Not much to write home about here. The taste follows the same profile, with a slightly metallic flavor added to the mix. The feel is slightly under-carbonated, fizzy, and thin with a bitter finish. Overall, a decent brew for the style.... However, I probably will only drink this at Japanese steakhouses. Cheers.

22 fl oz, poured into a tall pilsner glass.

Ready to get down, Japanese style; Banzai!

A: Yellow gold in color, with a whiter-than-expected head that's minimal, and does not hold for very long at all. It is nice and bubbly, though; that'll hold the attention of an ADHD sufferer like me.

S: It smells a bit grassy, and that's about all I can seem to pick up. There's not much to hold your interest, I can say with all honesty.

T: Odd - it tastes kind of like a bowl of rice with hops. Wow. I'm not sure that I mean that in a good way. This is going to take some processing by my brain. Usually, I don't have to debate in my head whether or not I like a beer. I'm going to lean towards not.

M: It's very ehh. Light in body, more carboanted than I generally enjoy, the palate is confused, and the finish is kind of sweet. Me no likey too much.

O: It's very alright amongst a sea of good and great beers. I'd call this one the Melissa Leo of beer. Look her up if you don't remember her. Off to a tried and true beer for me, and more chicken tenders. Cheers.

Pours from 22 oz can built like a Sherman Tank. Poured into a glass. Thinking of how many of these I drank while stationed in Tachikawa and Yokota AB back in the day.
Pours a golden clear yellow with 2 inch head that dissapates quickly with little lacing.
Smells of metallic container and earthy.
Tastes like metal and earthy hops.
Hypercarbonated on the tongue and watery feel in the mouth.
Taste lingers with bitter aftertaste.
Another memory of my youth bites the dust. Maybe its the setting, but I had held Sapporo and Kirin up as special ( I had not had a Japanese beer in 30 years.) and now have concluded it is a beer I will drink sparingly if at all. Maybe its the setting. If I ever get back to the bars in Shinjuku, I will happily try again.

A moderate pour yields 2 fingers of bubbly white head. Body is a very pale straw yellow. Lots of carbonation rising to the top of this one. Surprisingly, some lacing was noticed as well.

Faint malt aroma. Grassy/herbal hop aroma. Also got a sweet note and light hints of bread.

Sipping this delivers a very sweet touch to the palate. Malt and hops are subdued hints behind the sweet rice flavor. Almost like a lighter, bubblier sake. I was going to rate this as a 3.5, but dropped it to 3 because there is a lingering light bitterness on the end that is more akin to a chemical bitter than a hop bitter.

This beer is very light bodied. It washes over the tongue and down the throat without having time to leave any residue and has a slightly dry finish. Not unpleasant at all.
